Well Radzney is on the airplane headed for Manila now She is suppose to call me when she arrives. I hope the flight all goes well for her, we had problems with the e ticket but she did finally get on the airplane.

:angry: Have been waiting for our packet to be sent to the embassy Guangzhou but still sitting waiting for Clearance delay to be lifted.

Hope it will be soon. Really want to get the interview scheduled, then we will have some idea when she will be here.

What is a clearance delay? Seems like it is not some kind of security check that the NVC is performing as your package already left NVC, right?

I know if you call the philippines embassy you can talk to someone that will help you, I know each embassy is different and not sure how the Thai embassy works but, it would seem unreasonable that you can not talk to anyone in the visa section. I have read on here that at Philippines embassy you get a better response if the US citizen calls, IM not sure which one of you made the call but maybe that can help. Good luck.

I mentioned (although it should have been obvious) that I was a USC. Didn't make a bit of difference. I agree, it's unreasonable.

well, there's no problem, really, except that i cannot make it for the interview. that's a bummer, but this process has its ups and downs, i guess.

i've booked Noi a ticket and our hotel room in New York for three days -- both refundable, naturally, but certainly hope no need to use that feature!

I just wanted to let you know that I was in Frankfurt for the medical and the interview today. The medical was easy, just the regular check-up, x-ray, blood sample etc. I had all my vaccinations done before, just the HPV is insufficient due to time interval now. It was fairly easy. Then off to the embassy, the people there were very friendly and helpful and it was quite easy. I was asked a few questions by the consul in the end and then she said "We'll issue the visa as soon as the medical results get here."

Radz is going to St Lukes today for day one of her medical, I am hoping to get good news from her later tonight.

I want to say thanks to Mike and Gracey for helping Radz out. Gracey has welcomed her to her home and helped by meeting Radz at the airport and showing her where the embassy was and St Lukes. Really big thanks to Mike and Gracey you guys are the best.

Oh I know right. I was so nervous about it, I haven't had it done in a few years. But it was really ok, I just looked away and it was over in less than 30 seconds. You'll survive thinking about what you're doing it for

Radz first day of medical is over and she was told to come back monday for vac's, xray results and something about blood test i think, im excited now, yesterday I was a bundle of nerves and was a good thing i was off work because i woke up at 3 am and was up all day pacing the floors, cooking cleaning doing laundry anything i could find to keep me busy and I was still a wreck, but now i know she is going back monday to get shots that is a good sign wooooooooooooooo. Good thing im off work next week on the day she goes to interview.

We had an issue with the Bayview Hotel in Manila also. Radz tryied to call them and change the reservation dates but they would not let her because the reservations were made online. So I went online and changed the dates to Dec 18 and 19 and i got response from the website and even showe a change in the amount we owed, Now at 77 dollars left because we had put down a $55.00 deposit. Today we got message from hotel saying Radz is a now show. Evidently the hotel didnt change the dates or the online reservations isnt working correct or it could be the hotel is just trying to rip us off. Radz was originally going to stay from Dec 9 to Dec 19. I have written to the hotel but they have not responded yet.

Hey just wanted you guys to know I got my medical done yesterday at Vancouver, and actually got a call from the Consulate this morning, I was given an appointment date of Jan. 20, 09. Things seem to moving along at a satisfactory pace for me. Although we still haven't recieved a hard copy of the NOA2.

URGH, I don't wanna wait any longer... It's Saturday and I just want the visa to be there to know everything is alright... The thought of having to wait another week drives me crazy
