i wonder why everything is moving so slow this week. We received the hard copy of noa2 in the mail and I sent a request in to NVC via the nvcinquiry@state.gov address. I wish everyone good luck and hope that lots of approvals show up later today and tomorrow.

If its approved then how long its take to get in mail from Vermont to Atlanta??

Lets Just hope that the main page is acting up and we just get the noa2 in the post while it still states pending

This is killing me, it is the worst I have been, the not knowing is terrible

Crazy&Stinky I sure hope you guys can hear something soon. i know it's tormenting to just get touched at this stage then hear nothing! We are going through the same agony. They resumed our RFE Friday and nothing since then. We are at an all time low emotionally also. It's really killing us. On top of all this there has only been 2 approvals since Friday! What could be going on???? Let's have a group hug and pray for some good news

i think it should take about the same time to get to Atlanta as it took for mail to get to Memphis. I got notice 10/31/2008 that we were approved on 10/30/2008. The notice arrived today Nov 6, 2008 in the mail. Not sure if this helps but is best i can do at guessing post office delievery. Good luck and group hugs to all those still waiting.

Hi everyone,

I received the package from the US Consulate here in Montreal this week so we're nearing closer which is great!

I've been seeing that it moves VERY quickly from here and that has me concerned because Jen and I were planning on a June 6th wedding and since these visas are good for 6 months only that means if it get processed before mid-December, then it is really cutting it close. On the other hand, the visa application is good until mid-February before it expires.

While we're definitely wanting this to move forward, I'm thinking of waiting a couple of weeks because having a visa that would expire BEFORE June 2009 would be a problem since we've started making preparations for the wedding.

Anybody else going through something similar?

but for those of you that were touched within the last week, and still nothing, i really think you did get your NOA2's. something funky is definitely going on with the computer system. and i never did get an email from them letting me know that I was approved...and it has been almost 2 weeks now since my NOA2 was issued.... weird.

i bet a lot of you will get your NOA2 in the mail and say, when did that happen? haha.

yep, even though I am stressing waiting for my noa2 I will not send back packet 3 till January as I have a flight booked to visit at Christmas but wont be able to move out till about March next year so we are delaying till after our visit

Hi Anixter,

We are in a similar situation and are having our wedding June 28.

If you think it will be processed in December, you should be fine. You get 6 months to move to the US and then an additional 90 days from the moment you get your passport stamped in the US (if I am not mistaken).

What we are doing, is Peter will move to the US in mid April, so that we will have our wedding still as planned.

If you move to the US in mid March or later, you should be good to have your wedding on June 6th.
