GREAT NEWS!!!

I got NOA2 in the mail today!! It was dated 24 Oct. 2008, but the USCIS Web site has last update (with no approval) as late as 27 Oct. Something's screwed up there. but I don't care about that. APPROVAL, blessed APPROVAL!

I know we still have a ways to go, but ...

See!! Those mad smileys were working for ya! They have the power of approval, but nothing apparently can overcome the weirdness of the notification systems. hehe

LoL Here you are wondering when/if it's going to happen, and your case is probably out of NVC already! LoL

congradulations, thats great news, I know our approval notice came on Oct 31 but said mailed out on Oct 30, I have email notifications but as of this date we still havent gotten an email from USCIS. Not exactly sure how the notification thing works seems to be different for every case. Good luck everyone

From what I have read--yes you can call them and get a case # and find out when/if they have sent your petition on to the Embassy. I could also check out the NVC forum here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=83

So, how do I track that it's been received by NVC? Should I/Can I can them?

Call the NVC number (603) 334 0700. Use the option to speak to an operator. You will need your EAC number, your name, your beneficiary name, and both of your birth dates.

They can then give you your new case number, which will be your number until the process is complete. They can also tell you if your case has left for your bene's embassy, though if it has not left yet, they can give you no idea when it will. They just say "usually two week max, but no guarantee."

The operator also told me that, they basically do nothing with K visas, except give them the number, so it is usually a quick pass-through.

I might add, you MUST speak to an operator, as the NVC apparently does not track K visas in their automated systems.

OMG!!! OMG!!! I got Touched...on...10/31/2008 Halloeen Day !! BOOOO. ... Checked USCIS site in morning no update there but today it was touched after 125 day after Noa1 date.....feel Like to jump My file is not lost or in corner thanks God...

Doesnot say on website that Approved ....I hope No REF ........Lets seee....but I m Calm & waiting

OMG! I wasn't here for 2 days and all of a sudden so many people got approved. Congratulations! I am getting confident now that we will hear something soon too. Would be awesome since my second half is staying with me right now. :-)

YAY CONGRATULATIONS

I think that the best way now to guage approval is by last touch date, so hopefully ours will come next week, so just to put this theory to work who else has a touch the 11th July

If my situation is any guide, I think that's very good news. My USCIS page was not updated with NOA2 approval, but apparently the approval came with the first touch I had since the beginning. I had two other touches AFTER the approval notice date, but I think they must have been related to sending mine to NVC.

I am sooo happy that some of you got your approvals!!!!!!! it seems that you will have your interviews before Christmas time which is awesome!!! I am counting the days to fly to my baby´s arms.......4 days!!!!!! in four days i will see my baby boy again and i can´t wait for that moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow!! :dance: Hope it is an approval for you! You were last touched July 11th....our last touch was July 10th--hope they didn't skip the July 10th box!!! I know there are a few of us in there!
