This waiting is killing me! All I want is the NOA2 so I can plan the next step!!! I can't even plan to see my fiancee again until that comes through. Meantime, my SO has gotten her police clearance and will go for medical as soon as NOA2 arrives. When I started this process, the timeframe for VSC was beginning of Sept., which already seemed an eternity then!

Yeah, I can feel you. When we sent in the petition in June we thought that we might get able to get NOA 2 in September which seemed like a realllly long time from then. And now here we are...in October...Still waiting patiently.

I'm thinking they are working those Iraqi refugee visas now, and that's what has slowed things to a crawl. The report indicated that there were to be at least 17,000 to be admitted to the US in 2009. I can't think of anything else that might have slowed it down like this.

We just had the luck to submit our petitions at the same time those hit. :(

It appears that they are still kicking out 1-2 VJ approvals a day from each center, so there's probably a hundred or so actually being approved, but they are probably doing those few just so they can say that they are still working K-1s.

What can we do... We can't go anywhere else and they know it. We'll just have to get used to the idea that approvals will take 2-3 months longer than we thought. My first projected timeline was like last week August for NOA2. Now it's last week October, so things have certainly shifted from the 2 months to NOA2 before, to 4 months now.

The hard part is, it could be any day, and so I'm always thnking about it. But it could also be sometime in November for June filers to finally clear. Unless they staff up or clear whatever it is they are working on, we'll just have to come to terms with it, and keep plugging along.
