Hey!guys. we got APPROVE!!!!!!

It's on 2 Oct.

Hope you guys got it soon

Congratulations!

Okay, here is my first post! VJ has been a great source of info to me and I have had nothing worthwhile to add. Now I have a question (which I may be posting in the wrong topic).

Our NOA-1 from Vermont was June 12, 2008. VJ says the following:

"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between October 24, 2008 and November 9, 2008."

The Historical Processing Times link says June 21 NOA-1s are being processed currently. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...ge=k1historical

Can anyone explain how this can be and why Igor's list has no NOA-2s after very early June?

I am probably being unnecessarily impatient (aren't we all??), but I wanted to make sure I am not missing something...

Thanks much for any ideas on this...

Dont hold me to this as I am not an expert

But

I would imagine that Igor's list might be based on completed time lines, maybe some people have been naughty and not updated theirs, but this is just a guess.

It is just one big waiting game

Hope for all us June filers the NOA2's start pouring in

You were correct. Igor's list does function off of updated timelines. Although not 100% percent accurate, Igor's List is an excellent measuring tool that gives you some idea of where you stand in line compared to other similar timelines.

I'm just dropping in to wish you all the best of luck.

Tortiose you raise a very interesting question regarding Igor's list. Can any senior members explain this? BTW for those reading which aren't familiar with Igors list here is the link http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/vsc.aspx

I am confused by the whole issue of conflicting dates.

I keep going backwards on Igor's list, which is disheartening

So when NOA2 comes it comes, no amount of worrying or checking dates is going to change a thing, and also seeing September filers being approved and I am waiting since June, does make me wonder about how they process the applications.

Lets hope we get lots of NOA2's next week as this week was not great.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE STILL WAITING

Shaz

Shaz, A big part of the process between the NOA1 and the NOA2 is the FBI background check.

So if you someone from a 1st world country or a low level fraud country your chances of a smooth run are considered to be greatly improved.

I am also convinced that once a month they offer a lucky door prize to applications that come through the delievery box on wednesdays at 11.03am by just stamping them with approved......

Good luck June quicker you guys through the quicker they can head to us!

Thanks Mara, I would think that the UK is not a high fraud country or I hope it is not. I also read up on a thread where someone used to work for the USCIS that infact a application can be processed in as little as 15 mins...........obvioulsy not ours

Oh well thats a shame if I had known about the lucky door prize I would have informed fedex what time and what day they delivered my package ha ha

Hope they have a blitz on all us June filers next week and then can get on with July

Hello everyone. Nice to hear that we have some June filers already approved. I filed in late June but I was wondering if I should expect any additional delays vs others that filed during the same timeframe. Why? My fiance is an Indian citizen but is currently in Russia on a student visa. We selected the consultate there in Russia. I am sure they will have to involve India at somepoint but didn't know how much longer that might put us back. Any thoughts?

Does anyone know two things:

a) Who is Igor? Is that a life person, or an imaginary friend for statistics?

B) Does the approval somewhow depends on the political relationship betw the countries? For instance: I've noticed Ukrane is getting approved sooner than UK. And that's logical: US loves Ukraine. Given Russian/Georgian conflict - does this mean, Russia, God Forbits, is being on "#### list"?

Canada also gets fast approvals. And Phillipines usually wait like everyoe else. Poland recently got approved - cause they are allies nowdays?

It occurred to me that it is entirely possible that not everyone is accurate in entering their data in the timeline database. I am sure that occasionally a typo or entry error is made. So if we see a few outliers here and there, it may not necessarily mean that we are getting passed by ;-)
