Hi Everyone,

We got our NOA2 but then I haven't received yet the packet how long does it take to arrive?

We sent our application in on June 9th and it was received by VSC on June 11th :star:

Anyone else?

YAH HOO.. I found someone that filed in June. hahahaha

I file in June too but am already married. Patiently waiting for APPROVAL !!,, hahhaha. I SERIOUSLY dont understand why Vermount takes sooooo much longer than California. This is riduculous. The shortest time frame that I saw so far on VJ for Vermont is seven (7) months for approval for CR-1/IR-1 visa. My goodness. Anyway I filed on June 18th.

Keep it going !!

I-130 re-submitted 05-22-2009

June 3rd 2009 - Rec Hardcopy NOA 1

June 5th 2009 - Touched

August 21 2009 - Touched

August 24 2009 - APPROVED - NOA 2

Sept 1st 2009 - NVC Rec - Case # assigned

You are already married so you must be filing for k3

Vermont is normally quicker than California..............

Hope your wait is not long

Vermont quicker than California ? - No way - haha.not according to the forums and individual timelines that I've been reading. However, I was informed that one year ago that it was the fastest service center.

Im actually not going the K3 route. I rather enter as a permanent resident and start rec my PR card (normally two weeks) to start working right away. The K3 route, although rather a quick process to enter the USA but will still need to fill out additional paperwork after you get there. You then have to adjust status and apply for work permit and then I believe there's another interview. unless I'm misinformed. Besides I have pretty good job here in Canada with decent income and my spouse normally visits me every two weeks.

I Just cant wait to live together permanently.

Do they generally take the cases in order they were received? The reason I ask is that several case numbers that proceed mine (NOA1 sent June 13) seem to have been approved. I'm getting nervous!

sorry, that should be "follow" mine. Even if they had come before it should be "preceed" sted "proceed"

Yes they do BUT and this is a big BUT, they tend to go a bit out of order because they are all put into bins/boxes and then assigned to different adjudicators. So, some adjudicators are faster than others and finish their boxes faster or sometimes our sometimes some files just take longer (more name searches etc.) so if you happen to be behind a slow file in a bin, then you slow down a bit as well.

For the most part everything kind of evens out eventually... but there is often a difference of a couple weeks foor NOA2s for similar NOA1 dates.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

I would not mind a couple of weeks difference but someone who filed in September went from NOA1 to 2 in 10 days

I am pleased for them dont get me wrong but it does make you wonder when I have been waiting since June and I am not the only one

Hope lots of us get our NOA2's this week

Good luck to all of us

Shaz
