TXLady--just to throw in a little practical suggestion. I sounds like you're in that wowee, I'm so in love, infatuated stage where you just can't stand being apart. If you want to do the immigration the safest, least risky way (K1) like you said, then it's going to take some months to do. He's spending a lot of money flying back and forth. If you could just stretch out the visits a little longer in between, it would probably make the whole process go smoother because waiting is part of the game. If they decide he's been too much and deny his entry to visit, then you're stuck with a big chunk of time apart while the petition is getting processed. So I guess I'm just suggesting pace yourself. Be sure and read everything at the top of the page under the blue tab called GUIDES and the one called VISA FAQ so you understand all that's required...the fees, the documents, the translations, the proof that you make enough to support him. The K1 flowchart is a good overall picture. It's in the Guide tab.

goodluck for your interview nick nick!

Thanks. We were also hoping he could come back in the second week of July because we (1) have tickets to see George Michael in concert, and (2) also have an invitation to attend a private party with George Michael the night before the concert. It would totally suck for him not to be able to make it. Maybe if he showed the tickets when he comes in to show that is part of the purpose for the visit?

Just to say in the last three years, I've pretty much spent 1 week a month visiting my fiance in the U.S and never had any probs. I've been questioned a few times but nithing too serious. I wouldn't worry about it providing you stay within the vwp guidelines

Ok so I have a question and I will be applying for K-1 sometime in next 6 months. I used to be on a F-1 student visa and lived and worked in the U.S for 1 year in the U.S until the end of May of 2008, my American boyfriend only lives 4 hours from me, and it would be weekend visits, can I be denied entry due to the fact that I will be visiting him at least once a month and I have already spent 1/2 a year in the U.S? Can he be questioned as well coming up to visit me? I thought I read somewhere too that only a max of 180 days...this whole thing substantial presence stuff that I had to deal with for the past 6 years of being in the U.S and taxes is confusing! I really wish we would have just gotten married and done AOS....that would have been so much less painful! (expensive) Anyways, thanks in advance!
