I'm (the petitioner) trying to secure an employment verification letter for my fiancee as part of the I-134 Affidavit of Support. The letter I received from my human resource dept states the salary, date hired, and full time, but it seems they did not want to go out of their way and state it was a permanent position. I've been employed there since 2005! What gutless jerks. Anyways, can anyone tell me if I should find someone else at work to create another letter for me, or will this one do? I'm not sure on how strict the consular is on the letter stating permanent position?? Thanks

If your income tax shows that your income is more than enough to support your fiancee and any other dependent you may have then the employment letter won't be needed.

My fiance's agency head sent him the scanned copies of his pay checks instead of the letter that we asked for so I wrote the employment letter myself, emailed it to fiance and then he in turn, emailed it to his agency head and the agency head copy pasted it on the company letterhead, printed it and signed it and then handed it to my fiance....

but in the end, the prescreener and the consul did not even look at it. The prescreener only asked for my fiance's ITR along with the notarized affidavit of support. I even insisted in giving her the employment letter, the bank statements and even insurance policies but she said "Just show that to the consul if he will ask for additional proof of income"..... the consul never did.

Your letter will be ok and your fiancee will do great at the interview.

Good luck and God bless.
