Ramzis and I had our interview yesterday in Detroit. The officer was OK, not overly friendly. He asked alot of standard (checklist) type questions. He wanted to know if we had evidence of joint ownership, etc., etc. All we could show him was a joint checking account, our health benefit card with both our names on it and a letter from our church shepherd stating that we both live at the same address. We also gave him some new family photos taken with my parents since we've been married, etc. The interview lasted about 20 minutes. He then said "I'm approving your application". Then he went on to explain how we need to file an application to remove the "conditional" status anytime within 90 days of the 2 year anniversary. He said we should expect the green card in the mail within a few weeks.

The experience was a little nerve wracking, but all in all went well. Ramzis has only been here for 3 months so we just haven't been able to establish "joint" stuff. I would suggest letters from you neighbors that verify that you share your home are probably helpful or any such kind of letters if you don't own "stuff" together.

Actually, after what we've been through the last year with USCIS, this seemed rather anti-climactic, but believe me, IT'S WONDERFUL!!!!

03/07/08 Interview 8:00 a.m. Moscow Embassy! VISA APPROVED!!!

03/13/08 Visa in Hand

03/14/08 Flying to U.S. - Detroit POE

03/15/08 Our Wedding Day!

AOS Timeline

3/21/08 - Packet sent to Chicago Lockbox

3/24/08 - Packet received and signed for

3/28/08 - NOA1 received in the mail - EAD & AOS - check cashed

4/15/08 - Biometrics

5/5/08 - AOS interview notice received in the mail (will be in Detroit, June 12, 2008)

6/2/08 - EAD card ordered (CRIS email)

6/5/08 - EAD RECEIVED IN THE MAIL

6/12/08 - Permanent Resident APPROVAL! Green Card on the Way!

6/23/08 - Green Card Received!!!

04th April '08: AOS package sent

11th April '08: Notice date on all 3 NOA's (15 April in the mail)

07th May '08: Biometrics (done)

02nd May '08: Driver's license received

09th May '08: AOS transferred to CSC

15th May '08: AOS is pending at CSC (CRIS email)

18th May '08: AOS touched

04th/09th June '08: EAD Card production ordered (CRIS email) (2 e-mails on different days)

04th June '08: AP approved (CRIS email)

10th June '08: AP in the mail

12th June '08: Approval notice for I765 sent (EAD) (CRIS email)

17th June '08: 2nd visit to SS Office - changed my last name on the card

28th June '08: SS card received with a new last name (in the mail)

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

- 01-19-08 resent hubby's income proof

- 01-28-08 AOS touched (Response to RFE received, and case processing has resumed)

- 03-10-08 EAD and AP finally touched and approved!!! =)

- 03-12-08 Case Transfer to CSC

- 03-13-08 EAD Touched again (Card Production ordered)

- 03-17-08 AP and Transfer notice received in mail (AP valids until 03-09-09)

- 03-18-08 EAD touched again (Approval Notice sent)
