hello!

this question is for those who have left already for the US. Would like to know what documents should i bring to the US to the complete the AOS process? i have packed the following:

1 the brown envelope from USEM that had the passport/visa

2 CFO sticker & certificate

3 Birth Certificate

4 CENOMAR (?)

5 Affidavit of Support papers

6 Proof of relationship documents

7 College Diploma

8 College Transcript of Records

9 Certificate of Recommendation from Previous Employer

10 Driver's License

11 Certification from seminars/trainings

12 Baptismal Certificate

13 Certificate of Holy Communion

Anything else? Do i still need to bring the ff?

1 NBI Clearance

2 Police Clearance

3 Local IDs like postal ID, SSS, TIN

Hope you can advise me. Thanks in advance!

Bring it all!!! Plus 2 NSO certified copies of BC. All pictures naman!

Hope you have the DS 3025 vaccination record.

Hi Princess Ammia, I've read a few here that we really need to bring NSO authenticated BC, at least 2 copies. Kuha na lang mintras sayo pa. :D

The only thing I would add would be the NBI certificate. We needed this in when my wife was added to my lease since there was no way for a background check. Be sure and carry the brown envelope and your x-ray in your carry on luggage where it's easy to get to when going thru immigration.

but i am a college graduate...isn't the college diploma proof enough that i had graduated from high school?

I think it would be better if you bring also the high school diploma. Mine, i even packed my elementary diploma. No kidding. :star:

I did no bring my High School Diploma so when I have my TOR evaluated it was indicated in the evaluation that there was no diploma ..It was still okay no problem with it. Since you are still there just bring it with you as well.

You will need an original NSO issued BC when you apply for SS number. They don't accept xerox copy at SSA... just original. You will also need to submit a copy of BC when you apply for AOS after you got married. I had an NSO issued CENOMAR needed for my wedding because we got married under Catholic church and they required as proof of singleness. Make sure you got the vaccination records from St. Lukes for your AOS, otherwise, the Civil Surgeon will rip you off and won't give you the I-693a unless you redo the medical. Other than what I stated, your list looks good to me. :thumbs:

IF anybody does forget to bring B/C's, they can be obtained online. that what we did for our daughter.
