New Delhi Consulate - Mail Timings

For those who have had experience with the embassies in India:

I was told that our Packet 3 was mailed out on June 9. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get delivered? Do they use a courier svc (DHL?) I dont have too much faith in the postal system there, and I was hoping some one could shed some light.

YEs, the postal system is unreliable here. Have someone pick it up for you. THat is what I did.

sweety10 - thanks so much for the reply. How does that work? How did you let them know that someone was going to pick it up? What information does whoever I send need to have handy to be allowed to pick up the Packet 3?

Is there already a process in place that allows 3rd-parties to pick up docs for you?

YEs, the postal system is unreliable here. Have someone pick it up for you. THat is what I did.
