Hi everyone,

I am doing the I134 form for my wife. I am not understand the Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor section. Am I suppose to go to an Immigration officer to get this done or can I just go to my bank and get someone to sign and get notary stamp? Also the part stating "My commission expires on_________". Who's commission? Please respond asap. Thank you.

Any Notary Public will do. Notaries are commissioned, so it's the Notary's commission that expires.

Thank you for your response PUSHBRK.

I guess I'm confused on who are the Notary Public. My work, bank,...? And will they know when their commission expires?

Your bank or insurance agent probably has a notary. Your work might too. A notary will know their expiration date. Let the Notary deal with that whole section.
