US citizen, Colombian wife. Petitioned I-130 for wife. I listed the children, but did not have enough funds to petition for two boys. Getting a co-sponsor. Do I fill out a seperate I-130 for each child and a 325a for each child? What about the DS-230? Passports required ? I am leaving for USA in two weeks and wish to have all the paper work done. Will petition from USA, when I have enough funds. Have been living in Colombia, but going to USA for job. Gracias amigos.

If they are not coming with the mom just file the I-130 from here. make sure you have permission from the dad for the children to immigrate to the US. It will take about 10 months or so if everything is in order. No 325 needed just the I-130 and the case will go on the to NVC and the children will come as relatives ( Step Children ) of a US Citizen. Be it IR2 or CR2. My step kids went through the Bogota Embassy on 2/14/08.

Good luck. PM for more detail or write here I will answer as soon as I can.

PS you will also need a letter from the dad if he is alive that needs to be notorized in Colombia for the kids to be able to leave the country.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?
