Hey guys,

I was just reading a thread "We are getting mad" and one of the questions the OP asked was about questions on the forms that there was no answer for. It was stated that you should put "none"....well the questions on the forms that sated you should put none I put none, but there was a few that I just left blank....Did I just blow it? Is it going to get rejected or worse? :bonk::help:

I gathered that after the fact, I just sent my packet off yesterday, whats going to happen now? Will it get rejected or worse?

it depends.. they might also just give you a RFE to help clarify some answers.. :thumbs:

I-130 STAGE 1 : 533 days - 1 year 6 months (4/16/2007 to 9/22/2008)

Priority Date I-130 : 4/16/2007 ( 533 days , APPROVED 9/22/2008)
Transferred to local office based on "security checks" : 11/27/2007
wrote hundreds of letters - received letter from FBI Records Management Chief stating no security checks
local office interview : 2/21/2008 - brought my parents too (result : you will get approval within 2-3 weeks)
5/2/2008 - (lawsuit) Writ of Mandamus - OFFICIAL DATE (7/29/2008)
9/22/2008 - CALL AND EMAIL COPY OF APPROVAL NOTICE FROM LAWYER

NVC STAGE 2 : 99 days - 3 months (9/30/2008 to 1/7/2009)
NVC Received : 9/30/2008
Received Packet 3 (I-864/DS-230) : 11/10/2008
NVC says "RFE sent out 12/9/08 for missing documents" : 12/10/2008
CASE COMPLETE - 1/7/2009

CONSULATE STAGE 3 : 96 days - 3 months (1/8/2009 to 4/14/2009)
CLEARED CUSTOMS - 3/10/2009

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

Interview Passed : 12/9/2013

Visa "Issued" on CEAC : 12/10/2013

No, you will be fine. Yes the formal thing to do is put "NONE" but for some of the q's that makes no sense so people leave it blank. They will know nothing=none. RFE is request for evidence, its not too related to if you did not put none or left it blank, this will happen if they have any questions about the relationship.

Relax. You will NOT be d@mned to hell by USCIS! Do not worry. Worst that could happen as people said is an RFE but I know many people who left it blank and everything was fine.

I filed I-130 in 2006 and so you can trust my advice.

You will NOT get rejected! :thumbs:

Unless it was something important to the petition, don't worry. They'll ask you if they need it.

At worst, they will send it back - without cashing the check - and tell you to refile. . . . I intentionally did that with different types of petitions a while back, just to figure out how they organize them - so I could organize the petition to look just like they will organize it. They really appreciate that.

So, not end of the world.

Oh, and you answer "none" if the answer is none/no.. and you answer "N/A" if it is not applicable. For example:

"Name all of your spouses:" "none"

But if before that it said: "How many spouses have you had:" "none / 0" Then "Name them:" you can write "None" or "N/A" not applicable.

It's better just to write none, less confusing. Although, they pretty much know what you mean if you write N/A... a lot of people think N/A means "none available." it doesn't..

Yes I have said it could be an RFE. And that it would not be a rejection.

Cool thanks guys/gals! I feel much better now! :thumbs:

The questions I left blank was like alien registration number and questions about if my wife has ever been in the US or has a ssn or registration number. I answered everything I needed to in regards to past marriages and so forth. So hopefully everything will be cosher!
