Incoming RFE that is...

I called CSC because I was in a pissy mood as it was anyway and was told they issued an RFE on my petition on 6/3/08. Doesn't the USCIS site reflect that information typically? Right now, my online account still just reflects 'case received and pending.'

09/19/2007: Withdrew CIC application (they still hadn't processed anything)

10/01/2007: Moved back to U.S.

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

I am so sorry this entire process has been nothing but a nightmare for you delicia. No one deserves this. I hope things begin to look up for you soon, I really do. I was in the k1 process but found the website to be pretty useless so I don't think its updated correctly or all of the time. Take care!

I called CSC because I was in a pissy mood as it was anyway and was told they issued an RFE on my petition on 6/3/08. Doesn't the USCIS site reflect that information typically? Right now, my online account still just reflects 'case received and pending.'

The site is rarely updated in a timely fashion. We received an RFE, gave them the info, and soon enough were back on track. You will be fine. Just a small lump.

Ugh... now I am just annoyed. I received the RFE in the mail today. The one they said they issued on 6/3/08 but isn't even postmarked until 6/13/08 (but that's another rant entirely). They want more passport-type photos of both me and my husband. They don't indicate they are rejecting the ones I originally submitted. I know they are there, but apparently, since they are attached to the 325s, they are much too hard to see.... Whatever, now $30 for my husband to overnight more pics to me and another 3 months down the tube because you know it will take that long for CSC to match my mail to my existing file and for someone to look at it again.

I'm with trailmix...at least they're looking at your file! Get those pictures back! I don't know that it will take 3 months to match them up with your file. Most times you send back info on an RFE and they approve soon after.

Such an adventure just to get passport pics, I swear. Husband had to go to 3 different places on Tuesday and ended up at Black's only to get the new hires who couldn't figure out that the pics shouldn't be brilliant green all over. He gave up and went someplace else the next day and traded up for yellow tinted pictures. He gets them to the Canada Post office on Wednesday only to be told that 'overnight' delivery to me (in the U.S.) will be delivered on Monday. Hmm I guess Thursdays and Fridays don't count as business days in Canada anymore.

So, I can't respond to the RFE until Monday but I can take off from work and hit the USPS office as soon as the pictures arrive.
