Well its easier for people who already have visas/husbands in hand (lol) to say it will get better. While we all know it will, its definately not that way when you are far away.

I cry many days too girl, it will be three years apart this june - and still no visa....the tears keep on comin. I pray to God that you and I and everyone else waiting will come to better days.

Tammy

I'm all cried out!!!! I don't know if I'm angry or sad or just indifferent anymore. This has got to be the worst thing I've ever had to endure in my adult life! But I keep praying - some days are tougher than others.........

Ya pretty much. Its bad when you don't feel much anymore. Kinda that hollow feeling you get once you are numb but you now you are sad but can't be sad cause you don't have much left in you.

I pray as well. It is the only thing that helps me and it also lets me ask for those who have been waiting and are waiting that they recieve happiness and peace in there hearts.

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.

Crying is ok....it helps relieve some of the frustration, and sometimes that is all you have.

It doesn't help when we have administrative processing forever, and people I know tell me there must be something wrong from his side or we would not be waiting so long for the case to conclude. Two years, and I notice people I talk to dont even ask anymore about him. And if I say something they just change the subject. I get the feeling people think I am just making up stories to have something to say. Yeah, that is when it gets hard. When the people around you stop believing, and start telling you to go out and get on with your life.

Then I check in here to see if visa's are issued, and I see people saying they have been issued their visa's and they applied within the last year. That is the hardest. Don't get me wrong. I am happy for all of them. I just wish it was us.

This is not easy. But then anything you get in life that is worthwhile is worth working for. So, you are gonna cry, you are gonna pray, you are gonna scream, you are gonna get mad, you are gonna have hope, you are gonna take a rollercoaster ride through the whole thing. Whatever works, you are gonna do.

And let me say, I know EXACTLY how you feel. Go ahead and vent. We are all here for you.

Hope tomorrow is better,

Sue

Thanks Everyone!! It was nice to see all these sweet thoughts, I am much better today. And thanks to everyone that let me express my feeling with a sweet response :luv:

I am feeling a bit Overwhelmed with things, this whole process has Drained everything out of me, but like some you said in the END its worth it!!! And I know it is, because he is the best thing that has happened in my life. And I agree that everything that is worth it, you have to work hard for. But I wish the process isn't as long for us. Seems like we with spouse in the ME get the hardest hit. With delays, lost documents, secruity checks, then AP, what in the world.... I don't know if anyone agrees but it just feels that way!

:luv:

Thanks again everyone!!!

You know it took me some time to finally read this thread. I see so much sadness and it hurts my heart because I wish I could take away everyone's pain . But because this is impossible, I feel helpless . I know that I have cried rivers of tears throughout this process and still continue to do so. I avoided posting here and ask forgiveness from those whom I could have at least tried to encourage.

But this isnt about me. This is about others who are suffering and have poured their hearts out in this thread.

Somehow I think we must try to stop poisoning ourselves with stinkin thinkin. What flows out of our mouths will be released out in the atmosphere. Try hard to stay positive and if no one else is going to be supportive and positive when we are too weak then sometimes we have to just find it within ourselves to do the best we can to press on, even if it is only inches at a time. That is an accomplishment all in itself .

We all have good days and bad days, so let us look at the day which we have control over....today. With God's grace and merciful kindness, we can get through anything. And what is most important, He gave us Himself. Can you imagine the God who made this huge universe and everything in it from the stars and planets to the tiny organisms in the oceans thinks and cares about even the smallest things that concerns us??

May he give all of those who wait the endurance they need to get through these hard times and also may He grant us all some peace of mind during the doubtful seasons we all experience from time to time.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Although my process has been somewhat expedited I completely understand what you are feeling. I'm lucky in that my husband is willing to go to a internet cafe everyday so we can talk, some days see each other via cam but we talk on the phone a lot too despite the language difficulties. Even with that I've been known to shed a tear or two at missing him... usually at night when I'm laying in my bed alone. :(

It is easy for us to say, but the time apart is something that most of us can relate to since we have been there. This too, will pass. (F) We were married more than 3 years before he got the visa, but, once that's over, all that time fades away and the future becomes more important than the time apart.

Although we have our loved one finally here it doesn't mean that we don't know and understand how you feel. I for one will never forget how horrible it was to be denied and to honestly NOT know if he was EVER going to come.

What I can say is that some days are rougher than others. The important thing is to cry it out and then find some time to forget this life. Pretend you have a normal life for a day and do something fun. Yes the problems will still be there, but it is a refresher to get you through more days.

Then by all means, if you can, find time to go back for a visit if at all possible. That alone can give you something to look forward too and take your mind off of the wait.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

 for those of us who have recieved a visa, we still remember and wish to give you encouraging words and maby a light at the end of the tunnel.

I remember specifically one break down last Ramadan - they had given me the code to unlock the mosque at night to enter and pray. One night, I spent 2 hours before dawn crumpled on the mosque floor bawling my eyes out and praying. Just writing this is making me remember and cry.

I have been there before (am there for a short while again) and my heart goes out to you (F) I would always tell myself that it would end one day and pray for the pantience and strength to wait it out - that and knowing the end was worth the wait. (L)

يَايُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءامَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَوةِ اِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّبِرِينَ

:crying: I am missing my hubby to much today, I usually pretty good at keeping my feelings strong, but I feel like crying today :crying:

I only talked to him for a few mintues today and I feel sad.......

I think the wait gets harder as you go. I wouldnt worry too much about things. You are on the last leg of your journey and I promise you that things will get easier. I think like running a marathon, its always hardest in the last part and then you get like a second wind and you keep on going
