I suspect that one of our mistakes was providing evidence of bonifides. If I had to do it all again, I'd leave out anything past the marriage cert.

I sent in only what was asked, no extras, and my case is still frozen in time.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Hi all

We're just 3 days away from 6 months since we filed our I-130. I was wondered how many other 2007 filers out there still havent got NOA2?

Have any of you written to your Congressman for assistance? Are you calling USCIS regularly? We called USCIS for the first time this week and was essentially told to go away, as ive read here many time before, and told to expect to wait at least another 4 months

We are looking to know we are not the only 2007 filers out there still waiting :crying: and if you have any tips at all on how we can improve our chances of approval (I know there probably aren't any, but its worth asking we hope)

Thanks

Lou

waiting since i filed in august 2005, have the NOA-1 as of April 12th but nothin else, sorry for you, hope it all turns out good for you.

We applied October 29, 2007, sad thing is I have applied for the I 129 F two years ago, it was approved and my husband had his interview, everything went well except for the fact the petition expired in CSC, why it went to california, I don't know, I live in Orlando, Florida and at that time, i was to send info to Texas Service center, so actually we have been waiting three years

not on this petion just in general

well good luck to everyone

Kathleen

I am so sorry. SOmething is wrong there. Have you written to anyone concerning your case? If not, this would be the time to involve your Congressman.

Hi!

My husband has called today to Vermont, and a lady told him that our case is not opennnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!

I do not understand why!!!!!!!!!!!

If my case is not open, and they open the cases in order, why are there cases resolved from 2008? I wonder how they can explain it!!

My husband submit a claim, and they have to reply to our complaint in 5 days!

I wonder if they pick and choose which case to work on. For example the easy looking ones and set aside the difficult looking ones. And those hard ones keep getting pushed back.

Im convinced they do pick and choose but I think it's by random rather than design. Afterall I dont see how all these petitions waiting from 2007 could all be difficult cases, the percentage is just too high.

In our case for instance we presented tonnes of evidence all sectioned off neatly and labelled. In terms of background checks neither of us have criminal records and we both have very respectable jobs and incomes. So Im not sure if they could ever argue our case was 'tricky' from the criteria as I understand it. Im sure this is true for lots of other people waiting too.

I reckon they probably just pick the cases about to fall out of the 20ft piles surrounding them....

Hello desilu,

When you say presented tonnes of evidence, do you wonder if it was to much and it worked against you. I only sent the minimum: just what they asked for. There is not much you can do now, I only mention this just for others in the future. I was told to keep it simple. Maybe its just the luck of the draw.

My wife who lives in Saudi, but is from Egypt got married in Egypt in August of 2007, I filed in November of 2007 with a reciept notice dated Jan 2007. Still waiting for NOA2. Recenty I had to do the ITN for taxes last year. Did you know the embassy denied her to get a simple notarization on her passport?? they are total a$$holes!! i had to get congress to make them simply notarize her passport.. even though she had proof we're legally married.. and they were very rude and even were out right racist to her.

Is this Congressional unit of Vermont Service center, or Senators from Vermont State?

I had wondered whether it was possible to make a class action lawsuit, for all those stuck in long delays? There has to be a financial amount in dispute of at least $5,000,000 however for this to be possible and someone has to be the lead plaintiff. I guess one could include the filing fee in that if there were at least 5000 VJ petitioners with extended delays? Those whose cases never get processed within the published processing time ought to be entitled to having their petition fee refunded, wouldn't you agree? At least this way there would be an incentive for them not to delay cases without very good reason.

I have contacted VSC and asked for an expedite, they said I don't need my case to be expedited on the grounds of lack of income, they said i have raised my three kids this long withouth the help of my husband I can continue to do so until he gets here, but there is nothing they will do right now for me

right now I am in the process of writing to John Kerry , he's not the senator of my state but I figured that in 2004 I helped with his campaign here in kissimmee, I have spoken to someone at his office and i have the fax number and all I am just getting things together for it

There has been so many things that have happened to me in the past years, and its really putting a strain on me, and I work in a hotel and because of the recession, hours are just 40 per week, which i can just skim by on

It is getting tougher everyday, and lord only knows when i will be able to see my husband again, the tickets are so expensive,

argh

I am beyond frustrated,

good luck to all

your friend in waiting

they shouldn't get paid until the job is done, hell why should they work if they already have the money, they are like scam artists
