Hello all VJ Members,

Please guide me if there is any way to get a temporary visa and work permit for a I-130 benefeciary as a child (above 21 yrs of age ) of a US citizen.

I am son of a US Citizen and my father had applied for I-130 in june 2007. Since the processing time is in years, i want to know if there is a way out for me to go to US now and work there, while my I-130 continues.

OR

Temporarily visit United states for attending a conference etc

Thank you

Only way to get a work visa is for an Employer in the USA to apply for one for you, and these are limited.

Visitors visas are not work authorized.

Hi, somtime you'll don't make sense, if you are I am son of a US Citizen and my father as stated by you, why aren't you a USC citizen by birth right. Are you saying your father attained citizenship after you were born? If so, then you must cont'thru the I-130 process. Sorry if the question seems hash, but you can retain all of your answers by reading other posts on this same site.

Good Luck.

Perhaps this is because the US citizen became a citizen after his birth through naturalization, well after he would be eligible naturalization through parent's naturalization.

We don't have the complete picture here.

There are many

Lets complete that one.

There are may reasons why a son or daughter may not be a US citizen, when a parent is, that is why there is a visa for Sons/Daughters of US Citizens.

Temporary Work Visas are H and L in their various guises.

Probably easiest way would be for an employer to transfer you to their US office.
