Hi,

I have a question regarding moving during the I-751 process.

We are looking into buying house, if all goes well, will close in 30 days. I am ready to send my package - the 90 day window began on June 9. Should I send the package now with our current address and if we move, what do I do then? Or do I wait a few weeks to see what happens, if we do move, do the change of address first and then send the package with the new address? All of the documents I have will still have the previous address of course, but I'm sure that if I send a copy of the new mortgage or contract or some type of proof that we have just moved, I still have lots of proof that we have been living together.

I dont want to wait too long to send the package. I want to get everything started and I have read the sooner the better from USCIS view.

Thank you so much for any advice!!

Send it now. When you do move, make sure and do the AR11 for your change of address (and the one for the sponsor also - its a different form number). Good Luck

If you do send it now, yes, submit the AR-11 BUT you must also call to have the address on the application changed as well. The AR-11 does not change addresses on pending applications.

We moved after my wife filed her I751 to removed conditions.

I think the AR-11 (green card holder) must be filed within one week of changing addresses and the I-865 (US sponsor) must be filed within one month of the move.

However, I believe if you complete the AR-11 form on-line this will change your residency for immigration compliance and for any pending cases. This is what my wife did, and the on-line confirmation stated that her address for the pending I-751 filing would be updated. My wife's on-line case status was touched within a few days of the on-line AR-11 submittal.

Let met get this straight,

I have to file the AR-11 for me within a week of moving and the I-865 for my husband (citizen) as we are moving to the same place (obviously).

I see when I went to the website that I can do mine online. For my husband, it says to mail it to the service center with jurisdiction over our state of residence. We live in Texas so I would think it would be the TSC but we sent the package to VSC due to the recent transfers. Where should we send his forms? Should I just send it to both?

Has anyone had any problems changing thier address and having forms get lost or anything?

Thanks very much!!!

I just changed my address with my local post office 6 weeks ago and have just called and had uscis change it in there system yesterday. I also went online to change it, and change it for my pending petition as well.

The post office did forward my NOA and Bio letter to my new address without sending them back.

I was lucky I guess.
