why so long?

By looking at other timelines, it does not take that long to receive a NOA1. I sent in the I-129F to VSC June 1st. They have not cashed the check yet. I was wondering what the hold up could be? I hope they didnt lose it. I did not due a mail receipt because I did not think about it.

Don't panic right away, we got our hard copy of NOA-1 after around 19 days.

Don't panic yet. They get more visa applications this time of year. Last year, before the fees went up, it was really bad. I sent mine in 5/29 and got the NOA1 on 8/9! If you sent a personal check, you can look at the back after it's been cashed. They put your case number on the back of the check and then you can track your progress (or lack of it at times) online. The NOA1 isn't very important any way. You can always call after 90 days like I did and request the NOA1 if you never receive the hard copy by mail. The most important one is the NOA2 and that's going much faster this year than last!

Hang in there, you have a long journey ahead, but not as long hopefully as most of us had last year!
