asking an impossible question

Hello !! This question may be impossible to answer. Does anyone know if you can circumnavigate receiving your passport with visa from fed=ex? example, after interview, inform consulate you would rather receive in person. example: return 2-3 business days later and simply pick up? or same day pickup?

anyone with experience i would be happy to hear from.

Know people who did that (came back in a couple of days to pick it up.) Just ask at the interview.

By the way, did you get an interview date?

Hi , yeah we got interview date it is July 17 !!!!! why i am asking about the fed ex issue is , we are trying to arrange plane tickets, also it will be a pain to be away from my clinic for 2 weeks. and of course, we are anxious to be together.

It is my understanding that if the courier company attempts delivery and is unable to do it, the package is returned to the consulate and the applicant has to make other arrangements for its delivery, including appearing in person. With that said, it sounds like you have a chance for a couple days pickup. Same day, probably not...

You missed my point... it being that the consulate in this situation allows self pickup.... They might allow this in other situations... You need to e-mail and ask them....
