We hear ya, the wait is crazy, but seriously, step away from the computer from time to time, or you will drive yourself nuts. And we don't want that to happen to you!

WHAT!!! You have waited since MONDAY?? If I were you I would be contacting your Senator ASAP!!! lol The joys of Immigration!!

Please wait till this upcoming Monday to ask the question "Can my Canadian fiance visit me in the USA?" lol Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Trail mix PM'd me and started talking about this stuff on the internet called PORN. Does anyone know what this stuff is? Is it an acronym for something?

Oh yes, I remember obsessively checking to see if my petition had been delivered to CSC (so I'd know it wasn't lost in the mail) and then checking obsessively to see if my check cleared (so I'd know it wasn't lost at the bottom of a pile at CSC or burnt by the wildfires southern California was having at the time). Even though that is a relatively short part of the wait, that not-quite-knowing for even a few days is maddening!

Saphire, you are going through the faster of the two service centers, and, as Eric and Corinna mentioned, they are moving along much faster now. Good luck and welcome to VJ!
