After 12 hours and 30 minutes of flying, I am finally in the US with my sweetheart. My overall experience was good. I had a little scare at the airport about that CFO sticker, though. I attended the CFO seminar way before my interview date and even before my visa arrived, so when I was approved, I planned to have that CFO sticker at the airport, since I was told there is a CFO office in the airport which you can just call up and schedule to meet. ANd that's what I did. I called two or three weeks before my actual flight to Manila, and scheduled to meet with some CFO personnel at the airport for the CFO sticker which will be pasted onto my passport. But then this guy said I'm not on their list so he is not sure he can "meet" with me since he is also waiting for other people who have scheduled and are actually on their list. ANd I was like, how can that be? I called up three weeks earlier and made arrangements well ahead of time, I talked to this certain guy and he promised he'd endorse me to you and that I would be on the list. So we debated about that, until he finally conceded and said he will meet me but I will have to wait. And there I was, waiting for an hour or two for him to arrive, all along nervous whether I'd get that darn sticker or not and whether I'd be able to leave the PHilippines in time for my flight or not (my flight to San Francisco was at 10:30 in the evening). Finally he arrived and my passport was pasted with their sticker. I passed through immigration without question and boarded the plane, and from there, everything went on smoothly. The flight was long but smooth, all I did was sleep, eat, watched a little tv, eat again and then sleep. hehe

When we arrived at the San Francisco airport, my sweetheart and I separated. He went to the US residents line while I waded my way to the Nonimmigrant line (coz I thought that's where I was supposed to go). But then this immigration officer guy asked us if we are married, and we said I am still his fiance and he assisted us to go to the US citizens line and instructed us to go together to the immigration officer when it's our turn. So we went there, but when we got there, the immigration officer said we actually have to go to the nonimmigrant line. So now we were confused. We went back again to the nonimmigrant line and waited for our turn, but then this same guy who assisted us earlier said we dont have to go through that line, that we have to go to the US residents line. ANd we were like, huh? but we already went there and were told to go to the nonimmigrant line. So he asked us what officer (what counter) told us to go to the nonimmigrant line, and we pointed out which one, then he called up this other immigration officer guy and we were assisted. The immigration officer guy was very friendly, he told us we have 90 days to get married and we nodded, then he said, congratulations and welcome to USA. And that was it! Weeeee! I am finally home with my baby! So happy!
