hey ya'll,

i'm planning a short vacation back to my homeland. it's only going to be 8 days. i'm stressing about the form i-151. i'm not sure if i need it or not.

it says that if i leave the states for less than a year, i wouldn't need it. but when i got my greencard (valid til the end of the yea) there was a note saying THIS IS NOT A TRAVEL DOCUMENT..

if you guys could bring some light into the shadowy conffusion i would be ever so thankfull...

thanks in advance

As long your GC is valid you can come back and re-enter in the US. And yes, your GC is "not a travel document" coz' your passport was your travel document. If your passport is still in your unmarried name then I suggest to bring along with you your marriage certificate.
