Here's what mine looks like:

I think it looks a little prettier actually on the finger. It's actually my engagement ring - I'm not married yet! But you could, of course, wear it (or something similar) as a wedding ring too.

There's a good selection on this page showing the various types of tension settings. Also amazon search. :)

Thx everyone for the advice. I'll be looking into this titanium with tension setting ring.

Hey chickadee, just take it to a jeweler a couple times a year to have it cleaned and have the prongs checked. It's inexpensive and is good preventive maintenance.

Also, don't ever clean with your rings on, it's the easiest way to snag a prong.

I have had my engagement ring for almost 5 years and it still looks brand new. I get comments all the time on how shiny and sparkly it still is.

I only wear it when I go out, and take it off the minute I get home. I don't do housework with it, I don't wash dishes with it and I don't sleep with it.

I used to work for a very prestigious jeweler in Canada when I was young and I was told that all of the above is a sure way to lose your diamonds and make your ring look old and worn out.

I also take it to the jeweler where my husband bought it and have the prongs checked and have it cleaned at least once a year.

I agree. I take mine every six months to get it inspected and cleaned. Last Saturday they noticed a diamond was loose so they had to send it for repairs. I'm glad they caught it before it fell out. Now I feel naked.

Our jewelery store has a care plan: they inspect the ring every 6 months, they clean the ring, make any necessary repairs, and if you loose a stone, they replace it for free. Have you asked your jeweler if they have care plans?

I don't wear my ring to bed, I toss and turn at night and I worry that I'll hit the gold band and scratch it against the wall

Saludos,

Caro
