I don't live in 'that kind of neigbourhood'. However, my contingency plan is to aquire a flame thrower. Guns are ok, but flame throwers provide ready BBQ'd meat to distribute to those who are on 'my side'.

good idea

PH's assimilation into the American way is coming along splendidly!

I wish to thank everyone on VJ for their continued support in my efforts to become truly 'American'.

Clearly, I haven't perfected it yet. I am considering buying myself a star spangled banner and have a 'flag' raising ceromony complete with bugler at sunrise. That should move things along in the right direction.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

We're not close enough for a riot to reach us right away so we will probably have a few days to board up our windows and set up the WWII vintage rifles that hubby has in his collection. Question would be... do we have the bullets? :D

my grandpa is one of those crazy food/water stockpilers in the basement soooo...if they'reon their way I'll head to their house and hang in the "safe room". he has all this crazy stuff like separate solar power and water purification and stuff. he's nuts but I feel like if it happens I'm prepared without even preparing

naa we live in harmony....

just imagine the hood..

i walked from my aptmnt to the next block on the right.. there's a chinese herbal store, a dominican bar and restaurant, next door is a el salvador food restaurant with a vietnamese kitchen next to it.. and went straight into the middle eastern market/butchery/restaurant.. where i got my shoarma prepared by 2 mexicans (the owners are middle eastern though), and drank my egyptian tangerine schweppes...

on the other side of the street of course is full of indian and mexican convenience stores

Ah. Bliss.

Rebecca, you need to move to an area with all kinds of widely diverse shops and restaurants. I remember talking about the neighborhood I live in with all of the different ethnic shops and your reaction was the same.

You can start with my next door neighbor. They have 7 kids and can't watch them, I am sure their stockpile is wide open to looters.

Me on the other hand, I will lock all my gates and go for a swim.
