If it was up to me, I would have you psyche assessed, you appear to have anger issues, you have the traits of a bully and an over exaggerated sense of self not to mention a lack of coherence when putting a train of thought down on paper. Any wonder that many people think the laws pertaining to who is allowed to own guns are lax?

Sweetheart, you just don't like the idea that someone exists somewhere out there that is not exactly like you. You also don't like the idea that someone exists who is capable of enacting more power than you trust yourself with. These dislikes are a sign of retarded emotional development. You have the emotional maturity of an adolescent, and i'm only posting this response with such frankness because you need to hear it. Can't have the whole world on your own terms? Scream a little louder.

Freud said that fear of guns is a sign of sexual and emotional immaturity. He was speaking about individual psychology, so did not factor in sociological agendas such as those which are prevalent in the media today, and in certain segments of our government. Government and media both benefit from a passive, obedient populace. Gun ownership is a thorn in their side, because it is an empowering experience.

Many people today will tell you that they are afraid of guns. Truth is, the majority of them are just uneducated or mis-educated. Take them to the range for an afternoon and teach them hoow to use a gun like a tool, and that the gun is subject to their will, and they fall in love with the idea. Done this many times (at my own expense) with about an 80% positive response, and otherwise ambivalence.

Honestly, why do I bother discussing this with you? It's because I believe that with the right education, you could be liberated from the bonds of fear. With the right experience, you could make your own judgement, rather than just repeat the pap that the media has fed you for years. If I lived close to you, I would even invite you over for a day in the "front 40" at my place, in which you could learn by experience that a gun is nothing more than a tool, just like a hammer, or a saw. The result of it's use is entirely within the control of it's user. The user has the power, not the gun.

Your diagnosis of my 'problems' is hilarious, I'll give you a 3 out of 10 for effort and entertainment value.

However, I'll give you a clue as to how way off from understanding my persona you are, I am not scared of guns.

I am however extremely suspicious of people who need to boast about parts of their anatomy, the size of their personal armory and the 'hotness' of their partner on an anonymous message board.

actually, i am not narcissistic, in the least. I have a strong sense of my own weaknesses. shooting sports and the related subjects are one of the few fields beyond my employment that i am truely versant in. i've studied history from a cultural and military perspective, a smattering of hard sciences, a bit of medicine and psychology, and the rest is just the result of spot research. i am sure your formal education is much wider than mine.

as for my choice of marital partner: a wife was the last thing i wanted when i went ot china. my plan was to stay single till i was about 50, for various reasons. it was the personality of a certain young lady that changed all of my plans. she was still idealistic, like me, and that's damned hard to find these days.

as for my personality: i suppose it's the result of the tire tracks up my back that you are seeing. my personality is actually quite giving and compassionate. it has to be, married to a chinese girl in America. i have also been a custodial father to 3 young children after divorce. they are now all adults. love is something you give to people. not something people give to you.

maybe you should read it again, cause i don't remember mentioning the "size of my tackle" in any thread on the net, anywhere. i do remember making reference to the inadequacy of chinese men in that respect, though.

as for my collexion, i only hint at it so that you may understand that there are many of us who engage in the shooting sports, adn that we are teh "norm". over 75% of american households include at least 1 gun. just the way it is. the big ugly truth the popular media doesn't want to acknowledge.
