You mean like the Rondney King riots is Los Angeles? The p#ssy LAPD called a "Code 4, I am leaving" when the crowds became too big for them to handle. The Korean community armed themselves and protected their livelyhood. Later, the city tried to discipline the business owners, stating, "It is not the job of the citizen to protect his property."

This is why, even during times of peace and prosperity, police forces have to 'keep up' with organized crime in terms of their capabilities. Too often, during good times, police departments drop their guard and fall behind the curve. Then when the bad times come, and they always do, and civil unrest rears its ugly head again (as it always does) and organized crime elements use the unrest as cover (as they always do too) ... they're caught with their panties down.

Clearly, the person with the tank is the person to hide behind. :)

Unless his neighbour owns a bomber ;)

Wouldn't the guy with the bomber simply relocate? Unless he had a weapon that could destroy with pin point accuracy, the result is going to be the same, total destruction of the neighbourhood including his own home :) - all be it taking the mob out completely at the same time.

I still think my magic garden sounds ideal...

Well I suspect the thinking will be "if I can't have it noone can".

I dunno - I think its pretty crazy to be owning tanks, rocket launchers and field machine guns. But what do I know - I'm not Jeremy Clarkson

I find it hard to believe - but then the laws of this land...or maybe they just live in such an isolated environment no on in authority knows? In which case, not likely to end up in the rioting scenario...

Yeah, I can totally see Jeremy wanting them :D

Historically, riots are usually an urban phenomenon. Urban areas do not lack authority and are certainly not isolated.

Quite and? :bonk:

I remember hearing that it was actually legal to buy and own a tank in the UK. You could get one for about $4000 if you wanted ####### gas mileage and to be billed for chewing up the roads.

I bet the guns had been removed though :D

No - its on there, they just remove the firing mechanism. Lots of damage you can potentially do with several tonnes worth of armour. Who can forget the mayhem Pierce Brosnan wreaked in St. Petersburg ;)

Easy to drive though - just 2 levers to operate the tracks.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The he!! they are! It takes some getting used to, believe me! I have driven one of these:

The tube weighs 14 tons and the overall weight is 32 tons.

Here's a video of a stolen tank chase.
