Well, to go back to the premise of this thread - you're home, and they've entered your neighborhood. They've already fvcked up other neighborhoods around you and it appears yours is next.

Homeowner's insurance. Look, if you see a huge Tsunami coming toward your home, are you gonna try to hold it off or are you gonna be smart and except the reality of the situation?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think most polices exclude riot, insurrecttion, and acts of war. I think flood insurance might cover the Tsunami, or would that be earthquake insurance?

My life is worth more than a car, or a house, but if I can save it, I will.

That is the question. How do you stave off an angry mob from destroying your home? There's really nothing you can do if the numbers are large. Best to get out of the home and try to leave unnoticed.

If your ultimate goal is survival, choose your battles wisely.

And if you're a typical 50 year old, lose two thirds (or more) of your net worth in the process.

You're f##ked.

Well rioters didn't show up at my door, but the Police did asking about my neighbors. I guess they skipped off in the middle of the night. I guess they've been under eviction for the past 2 months.

Too bad. They were good neighbors. Quiet. Kept to themselves. Damn economy.

Remember when January 1, 2000 was going to be the end of times?

Or just recently when Costco limited some varieties of rice being sold? A whole bunch of people, some who even didn't rice that much, went out and bought 40lb bags of it because food rationing end days were here. Time to stock up on tin foil and wait for murderous mobs after the rice.

My wife says 40 lb of rice isn't even enough for a month. What's the tin foil for? I think they'll spin the food rationing into a new diet that the gov't is enforcing.

Just one flaw with your otherwise perfect "plan".

Que?

Nevermind.

Maybe once the rioters devour your neighborhood they won't bother coming to mine.

You know they don't turn into mindless, flesh eating zombies just because they get a little angry.

I wonder if tribes that practice(d) cannibilism did it for the taste or because they just got hungry.

We've had a few neighbors move out after dark when there's very little light. It's a sad sight to see...and the notices on the door.
