Hi VJers,

I just remembered my experience with the payment and procedures of the document verification that has caused delay of my visa delivery.

When I payed through Metrobank, I texted Delbros of the details of my case (case #, Name, interview date, etc). I also included my son's name in what I texted them cos I paid his too. I received right away a text back saying the receipt of my text message and they asked me to even fax the deposit slip which I did right away. It was, I thought, all I needed to do. But to my surprise, when I called to follow up the next week, I learned that I have not given them the right information through text message! There was never a guideline of what to text on the papers that USEM sent me and I just saw in one website on what to text thinking that its the same with K2.

K1 and K2 document verification payments should have been like this-

CASE NUMBER - 2008******01 (K1)

2008******02 (K2)

So for all those who are about to pay, you should be texting them TWICE AND SEPARATELY of the info of you and your derivative. Your case number should have 01 after and your derivative 02 after the case number.

I hope this would help.

Thanks and goodluck!

I only paid one verification fee. I did not pay document verification for my daughter nor for my son and it didn't cause any problem.

During my interview, my "verification result" was already with USEM and the verification result that those SLEC people were pointing to in my file was my CENOMAR (yes that is what they are verifying, they just want to make sure you are not previously married to any other juan dela cruz).

That is also the reason why bringing your own copy of CENOMAR is not a requirement now since "they will still do their own verification" as what the consul who interviewed me said.

CENOMAR is not required for your derivative, especially minors so there is no need for document verification for them.

Have you tried inquiring DELBROS or USEM about your case? Maybe they got confused with the two document verification request for only one MNL number... just try checking with them as these people gets easily confused with even the tiniest detail like maiden name and married name, how much more with two verification request for only one MNL case number...

I hope and pray everything will be sorted out and you will get your visa soon. (F)

Thanks ate Gay.

Well I didnt know that before. And Delbros didnt even tell me that I did not need to pay for my son's. They accepted and acknowledged it. Grabe naman sila.

Im still hoping I get my visa soon.

If not for our VJ family, I would have paid doc verification for my daughter and son din. I posted a question about it right after we had interview schedule kaya when I paid sarili ko lang binayaran ko: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=119590&hl=

Patawagin mo hubby mo sa USEM, painquire mo sa status ng visa nu. Mas nag-eentertain kasi sila if yong petitioner tatawag, pag tayo, antataray sa atin naman galing sweldo nila.

You will get your visa soon and you will be with the love of yor life soonest. (F) Just keep the fire of hope burning and your faith alive.

God bless always.

From USEM site!

Document Verification Fee

Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified.

In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is PhP 650 per applicant. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please click here. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application.

As you can see kids no need!

Delbros worked you over for P650!
