stuck at customs

hi evrybody,

Hope i can get some help for one of my friend who got stuck at the customs , it happened when friend's husband left the US without filling or asking for an AP, and he didnt inform his lawyer either, so when he was back he got stuck at airport customs , put in jail because they asked him to show his travel document and he doesnt have it, they looked it up on the pc but it doesnt show either on the immigration website.

what solutions are possible in this case? hope to hear from you and get some advices.thanks in advance.

He is SOL. He would most probably have to go back and then reapply for a visa to allow him entry in USA. With all the info available, so easily, people who act like this, maybe getting what they deserve.

Not that it matters but he got stuck at immigration not customs.... The only thing that can be done is to return home and wait for a new visa... If you leave without receiving AP you have abandoned your intent for residency and you begin again.
