There was someone from Canada who had something similar to you. He was asked to provide his CV and after emailing his CV it took around 1 months time for the Consulate to issue him the visa.

I will look for that thread and if I can get it, will update you. Hope things resolve soon for you.

Co didn't ask me for anything told me to write down the job discription kept the passport and said it will take 3-4 weeks i will call u or email.

They are not checking the wrong person. They are simply doing their job. Perhaps, you are saying the checking will have a positive result for you. That's probably true but check they must, just the same.

sounds like Chennai is going through a lot of blue paper...makes you wonder if they have a quota to meet to prove they are doing a good job
