had very good interview finger printing done but lady consular took my job discription then said it will take 3-4 weeks to review and let u know and gave a blue 221g paper I am confused what it means. more delay?

manasa

It would help to know something about the job description but certain careers do require additional scrutiny before a visa can be issued.

What does the 221g paper say? We really can't help you without information.

Well, then it sounds like the "microbiologist" is the reason but your 221g form is not a blank piece of blue paper. It does say something. Don't be ridiculous.

It checked on "your case requires further administrative processing. "

she wanted more info on my job which i resigned last week. why? I am a k3 not a H1

They are screening you based on being a microbiologist. It's a terrorist thing. Somebody already mentioned that to you in this thread. They need to determine if you can build a biological weapon. If your interview was September 10, 2001, you'd probably have your visa in hand. Is this sinking in now?

There was someone from Canada who had something similar to you. He was asked to provide his CV and after emailing his CV it took around 1 months time for the Consulate to issue him the visa.

I will look for that thread and if I can get it, will update you. Hope things resolve soon for you.
