we both work. my husband would bring his father and/or brothers to work with him and my mil would stay home and cook, clean, watch lifetime or spanish soap operas and lately she knows how to walk to a few local stores and take the bus to the city. we are at the point now where they just make themselve at home. before we met and they would visit my husband woudl take them everywhere ie vegas, orlando etc. glad he got that out of his system before i met him. we took them on vacation with us once to the caribbean and we have sent them on two cruises to the caribbean. i love it because they have fun and we get a break for a week

I will likely go back to work during the visit, and only take off when we go to chicago. That means I'll be working 11p-7a and then coming home and sleeping until like 3p or so. I hope he doesn't go back to work and takes off their whole visit, as he works 4p-3am.

But what about the cats? Do you think they will be put outdoors while you are at work?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I totally relate to not having someplace to keep them.

 Don't you get a major discount at work?

Well, I thought you could ' treat ' them to a few night's stay, but maybe that's a bad idea.

That kind of stuff works for my parents-- as they won't ever stay with me anyway. Not for his family though, he sees it as disrespectful. Took him forever to "get" that my dad hates other poeple's homes and wants to stay in a hotel and to get him to stay ehre would be really torturing him.

I can understand that.
