Hi guyz..I have a question about my CENOMAR...i got it last March 23,2008 and I read that it's only valid for 6 months while I am not yet sure when i'll be having my interview since im still waiting for our NOA2..I am planning to get a new one on July just to make sure..what do you think guys? I also wanna get a new BC, since the old one was issued last 2005 and the receipt got lost..I just want to have everything new to be sure..However, I got them in Bacolod...is it also possible if i'll get the new ones here in Manila?? thanks

You don't need to get a new CENOMAR since that will be the primary document that the USEM will be verifying (delbros document verification).... some pre-screener will ask for it, others won't... my pre-screener asked for it but I didn't have it so she just said it is ok if you don't have it...

Getting a new CENOMAR will just add another unecessary cost. You might as well save the cenomar fee for a good lunch after the interview.

For the BC, it won't matter if your BC is old as long as it is printed in NSO paper but it will also help if you get a new one as well as extra BC copies for your own file.. you might need it when you go the US... and yes, you can request new BC in any NSO office.

I had my CENOMAR but wasn't asked by the pre-screener maybe because my document verification was done just before i had my interview. I had the old BC and asked me if I did get the latest but since I wasn't able to get the latest one I was asked by the consul to give him 2 valid ID's. Now I am planning to get another BC for future use. I guess its just a must to get a new one, like dbears said "for future use".
