Nice to see the legitimate offerings of sorrow. I have two 18 yr. old cats. I know my time is limited with them, but man, almost twenty years together, it will truly be like losing a family member.

I'm Sorry for your Loss.

I understand how it feels, last July 1 I lost my Cocker Spaniel "Chelsea Pollyanna" she was sixteen on Valentine's Day 2007 and 2008 was very hard for me with my husband in Ireland for visa processing and the first birthday with out her. This July 1 I am going to spend some time with friends so I won't cry all day.

It never is easy to lose a member of the family. I look at my cat Sampson who turned 16 this April and is diabetic and I know that soon I will lose another one of my fur babies. I had him before I met my husband and his love has been helping me cope with the immigration separation.

sorry for your loss - its a great sorrow to lose a fur member of the family. (F)

Ditto.

And unfortunately too many people don't understand that losing a pet is sometimes just as devastating as losing a person.

:(
