VISA IN HAND!

My fiance's passport & visa arrived today!!! He'll soon be flying into JFK then onto California to be with me

I just have a few questions about the things that are coming up next...

First the simple questions:

1. Will it cost anything for him to receive a temporary work visa through JFK?

2. How and when do we apply for a California marriage license?

Now the confusing questions:

3. In the I-129F I put my fiance's intended address in the US as my parent's address in Arizona since I've been living here to save up money before he arrives. I will be moving back to California a month before my fiance arrives but I still do not know what our address with be. Will this affect his adjustment of status? Will we have to come back to the USCIS district office here or is there some way to notify them once I know what our address in California will be so we can work with an office closer to home?

4. My fiance gave the woman who interviewed him two I-134s. The first one is from me with my bank statements and letters from my employers. The second is from my step-father, the co-sponsor who owns his home and has a steady income. I am wondering if there will be any problems once my fiance adjusts his status because I will no longer be working at my current jobs and will have a little less money in my savings since I'll be moving. We had my step-father be the co-sponsor because of this, but I am just concerned about us running into problems since my situation will be changing so dramatically.

Thank you to all of the members of Visa Journey who have answered my questions in the past. It has really helped to make this visa process go smoothly.

NO Nada, Zilch

2. Check with your local city/county office on what the requirements are (some states require a SSN others don't - hint - you can drive to Vegas and get married there (no SSN required)

3. When you have your 'new' address send an AR11 form to the USCIS for address change

4. As long as you make enough (125% of poverty) or still have a co-sponsor (when you do the AOS) - it doesn't matter what job, or how much etc.

Good Luck
