Have any of you ever sent a COPY of your divorce decree with the I129f packet only to get a RFE asking for the original ? im fixin to send my packet in a few days and i just want to streamline this entire journey.

We sent certified true copy and didn't have any problems...

Original? How can you even provide it when your original is on file at the courthouse.... Read the instructions to the forms... It explicitly says that unless an original it is expressly asked for, photocopies are acceptable.... Divorce decree is not on the original required list. A certified copy is a very different document than "original".

okay let me rephrase my question, Would it be advisable to submit a certified copy or just a copy ?

I submitted a copy of my personal certified copy... I did not go back to the courthouse and get an additional one...

I had to send in my divorce decree which had to be a certified copy with the red seal stamp or an original copy with the red seal stamp on it.
