next, you'll receive a message that says, approval notice sent. roughly 10 days from the date of that notice, you should receive your ead card. :)

My husbands EAD production was ordered on Nov. 19, 2008. Can anyone give us an estimate timeline that they'll send the Approval notice? We know of a job opening up in his field and he'd really like to apply for it. We're thinking about taking the chance and sending his resume next week for it. Thanks in advance!

My EAD card arrived 4 days after it was ordered. I'd apply for that job now. Some VJers have sent out resumes before their EAD was approved because it often takes a while to hear back about resumes. Even if you hear back right away, your husband can explain that he's work-authorized except that he just has to receive the EAD card that has been ordered. It'll probably have arrived by the time he gets to the interview stage. :)

That is what I think too. I was just worried that he'd get to the interview stage and still not have the EAD. I don't want anything to look bad on his end due to the fact that their aren't a lot of jobs in his field where we live. I've looked at several timelines and they all seem to be fairly quick to receive the EAD card. Thanks for the reply :)

Ok, so I know I may be getting ahead of myself here, but my husbands EAD will expire in 1 year. Do we have to apply again in a year? Or will they just issue a new card? I just assumed that the EAD would be good for 2 years like the AOS. Thanks!

He should have his greencard before it expires...there's no need for EAD once you have greencard, but iin the event that he still hasn't received greencard by the time EAD is soon to expire he has to apply to renew it they won't automatically issue one...

Congrats! Usually the Ead is kept on the interview date because you don't need the EAD after you rec the Green Card.

I haven't checked my status online since receiving interveiw letter and was just curious today to see if anything changed (although I knew it most likely won't) and noticed my AOS was touched on Nov 21 (friday)...I'm guessing my file finally landed on the interviewer's desk hehehe :whistle::thumbs:

HEHEHE the information says the same thing since august (after they received RFE back) just the Last updated date changed...yours will probably get touched closer to your iinterview date too so don't worry... :thumbs:

8/08 2008 - NOA Received (I-130 & I-485)

8/08 2008 - Application Rejection Letter received for I-765 (Outdated form that expires 08/31/08!!!)

8/11 2008 - Biometrics Notification for August 28th

8/14 2008 - New I-765 received by V. Bustamente

8/18 2008 - Tried a walk-in Biometrics but office closed(!!)

8/19 2008 - CRIS email. RFE #1

8/23 2008 - RFE Letter. Birth Certificate (wth?!?)

9/09 2008 - NOA for I-765 received

9/12 2008 - EAD Biometrics notice for 9/29
