:dancing: PASSED written test for DMV...(got 7 wrong), my road test is scheduled for Feb. 5 (in NJ you have to wait 3 months after receiving permit b4 allowed to road test)

on another note, went to WAMU bank to get added to hubby's accounts and credit card and they said that my ssn didn't "check out" yet...something about social security admin. have to notify banking system of it before they can do anything (I think that's stupid, seeing as i'm able to use it for dmv) and that i should try back in a few weeks...don't think i can wait that long but then again i'm already on his other checking account (at a different bank) so i guess as long as i have 1 i'm ok...

You dont really need a social security number to add your name to your hubby's account at wamu. You can always do it now and submit your social later. My hubby and I opened two accounts there after we gor married in Feb. I opened two accounts with them before I even knew my hubby.

That's true but you'll be added as a "non-resident" and required to submit a foreign address for their records... and doing it that way you'll only be an "authorized user" and not a "co-owner" of the account...(my hubby works @ commerce/TD bank so i hear all the banking lingo LOL)

The customer service rep said all of the changes happened since being bought by chase and that she can't even override that option (if she could've she would've)...i'm already on his commerce account so i guess i'll wait & see what happens with wamu in a few weeks. If not then we'll just use the commerce account as one proof for interview next month

Hi everyone,

My husband received his AP in the mail yesterday... We're soooooo excited. He can now go visit his family after 9 years...He was in Germany before and hadn't seen them since he left Iran... He couldn't believe it yesterday when I told him.:dance::dance:

Wish everyone who is waiting speedy process... hang in there...make that Infopass if you have been waiting over 90 days... it worked for us.

Thanks for everyonr's support.

Yasi :star:

Sorry to hear that... but why did you have to travel to Chicago?

I got a call from the immigration officer from yesterday.

They want me to come back because he forgot to ask a few question! :o

#######! We paid $300 to go to Chicago and for the hotel! How are we supposed to do that? :dead:

We had to go there one day early and left the next day after the interview.

Congrats

I have been thinking about this lately. My case was transferred. I have read that it can take around 6 months. Is this true?

I just called because I am really busy (hahaha). The recording said that I could inquire about my case 180 days after it was transferred. I guess we will have to wait.

I'm back from my "second" interview. It took 5 min. He just forgot to ask me if i have ever been arrested or to court and those things.

He said for him we are approved but his supervisor has to look at it and sign it.

... waiting game continues ... :clock:

Now that I think about it. 9/23 was probably "Lets scan a bunch of cases so it looks like we're doing something" day at CSC. They figured it would keep us off their backs for a few weeks.

congrats to all the interview letters recieved!

I am so frustrated here. We have not had any updates, touches, transfers, or interview letters. I figured it was because the system was not updating our case information. so, i decided to call USCIS to see if they had any other news for me. The lady that answered the phone was less than pleasant and took me for a moron. I finally said "so you are using the same database that I am to look up the case information." after a little bit of a struggle, she admitted that they very same database we use on uscis.gov to look up the case status....so it does me absolutely no good!

i just want to have a clue about where our case is. I know people wait for years, but this is infurating. So...i asked her if the infopass people would have more info. she said they do, but wasn't sure they would be willing to share. So, i made an infopass appointment to get an update. Just remember, the last time i talked to the uscis people they confirmed that my AP was wrong and i would have to re-apply (not true..after an infopass appointment we found out it was correct after all!)

thats my rant for the day

[/quote

we have the same situation. i feel bad too. no touch, no interview and no transfer not even a mail. The last update i have was july 15. i called them too and i have the same answer. I don't even know what happen to my papers. the other have their interview already and i still don't have. They told me that in San Francisco office they are processing february 2008. so i still have 5-6 months to be process. They also told me that it take a 12 months processing.... Why is that other june and july filer got their GC if they say that the processing is January 2008 or February 2008. that is really strange....

what else can i do??? """NOTHING, BUT TO WAIT FOR THEY TO PROCESS"""" EVEN IT TAKES FOREVER....

CONGRATS TO OTHERS WHO GOT THEIR GC AND HAVE OR HAVE INTERVIEW ALREADY....
