He needs to travel to see his family who he hasn't seen for 9 years... when you say "you need to travel", how can we show them. When I submitted his case, I put the reason why he needs to travel.

A ticket or an itinerary is good proof, although there is no guarantee that he will get the AP in time. So make sure you book an exchangeable or refundable ticket.

For the July filers in general:

Is it me or has there been very little action (approvals) lately?

I was wondering the same thing. We have not heard anything from people who were transferred.

still no EAD for us but we called a few days ago and they said that we should get it in two to three weeks, thats probably the generic reply though :S

Keweul sorry for the test. Im sure next time you will make it! Stuck_in _manila goodluck to your test on friday. I will have my behind the wheel test on friday too. I receive my SSN card today. But I feel terrible i had the hardest exam of my life so far! Im exhausted take the test for 4 hours. I hope I do passed for my nursing licensure. Good luck to all of us. God bless everyone

Hi nope I didn't I wasn't able to. I came here already. I just studied on my own :-( Review centers here are expensive :-( Im still waiting for my result. In the meantime, I'm doing trainings starting yesterday and just gathering as much courses and certificates as I can before my interviews for work. Goodluck to us

Hi july filers! Hope everyone is doing well.. Goodluck for upcoming interviews...and ead's...keweul congrats for your SSn im sure your interview letter will come soon..Susieluvspaul im sure your ead will arrive soon just a little lag maybe because of your rfe but hopefully t will arrive soon too...Hopefully next month..there will be more actions with those who got transferred at CSC...and so more approvals to come..or those who are waiting for interviews hope theirs will come soon. .. I will have mine on december 10 so i have at least a month to prepare everything...I have joint bank account, lease aggrement, photos from the philippines, from our wedding here and from places we've been..utility bill with both our name...costco ids...health insurance cards..2 affidavit from his friends testifying that they both know us..mails with my name and address in where we live...i guess that's it. HOpe thats enough...Good luck and God bless to us :-)

Belated happy halloween july filers! How is everyone! I found out this morning that Ipassed my NCLEX-RN exam thank God! Im just happy to share it to my july family. HOpe everyone is doing well. Hello fellow July people,

I have a bit of good news to share with everyone . Last night after getting home from Haloween walk in George Town, did get the mail. There was a letter from USCIS informing us that we will have an interview for Green Card on 12/18/2008 at 1:00pm in our local INS office. It a has a long laundry list of items and things to bring to the interview. I am excited and nurveous at the same time. Hope everything will go well.

I (the US citizen) just got my citezenship in July of 2008, we are married since 12/2004 but could not file for my wife becuase I only had green card and according to the lawyers,, they wont approve applicants who file basd on marriage to a green card holder sopuse but will be easier and faster if it is based on mariage to a US citizen.

We will have everything together for that date and would appreciate if you guys can share your interview experiences, so that it makes it easier on the rest of us who are waiting for our turns to be interviewed.

Have a great weekend and great elections, I will be votingn for the first time on Tuesday .

sorry for not replying earlier

got the problem before I got the tests, as soon as they were entering the info on their system

here in SD your immigration status has to be confirmed prior to getting your Driver License or State ID.

They placed some calls and got approval.

Got EAD on 10/3 and went to tramit change of name on SSN, our information was not updated in their database, they received the application and said that they will send in the mail as soon as they verify; got letter in the mail today confirming verification and that new card will be mailed in two weeks.

I had same problem at DMV when applying for drivers license.

Hi jeff & Sylvia congrats with your SSn. YOu said you had a problem with DMV when aplying for driver's license. Do you need to undergo the driving test both written adn behind the wheel? When did the problem occur when you are about to apply to pay for the driver's license or after you pass the behind the wheel test? Because I was able to pay for both state id and driver's license and passed the written test already , will take the driving test on nov 7, so if i dont have my SSN by that time , eventhough i pass for example , they won't issue me a driver's license? I just applied for SSN last week october 15 btw. Or if I have a printed certificate of my SSN will they issue me a driver's license provided i pass the behind the wheel test? ty

i actually wanted to ask you about that. weren't you asked for your ss number when you applied/took the written test at dmv? if so, could it be because you have a k1 visa as oppose to having a k3 visa? now, i'm kinda confused.

i've an appointment this friday and i'm thinking of rescheduling it since my ssn has yet to arrive.

Seems like whoever recieved intervew letter shows USCIS is trying to have interview on Dec-10 for most of ppl
