I received an approval letter for my I-130 in the mail today. There were no touches on the USCIS website.

Congrats JeffandDona! I guess that means I can expect mine soon too...

Thank you. I think your I-130 will be approved soon. Another July filer (with timeline similar to ours) was aproved today just saw it in the August filers.

Got EAD on 10/3 and went to tramit change of name on SSN, our information was not updated in their database, they received the application and said that they will send in the mail as soon as they verify; got letter in the mail today confirming verification and that new card will be mailed in two weeks.

I had same problem at DMV when applying for drivers license.

Hi jeff & Sylvia congrats with your SSn. YOu said you had a problem with DMV when aplying for driver's license. Do you need to undergo the driving test both written adn behind the wheel? When did the problem occur when you are about to apply to pay for the driver's license or after you pass the behind the wheel test? Because I was able to pay for both state id and driver's license and passed the written test already , will take the driving test on nov 7, so if i dont have my SSN by that time , eventhough i pass for example , they won't issue me a driver's license? I just applied for SSN last week october 15 btw. Or if I have a printed certificate of my SSN will they issue me a driver's license provided i pass the behind the wheel test? ty :blush:

Yes i hope they send it soon. hehe. But i live here at orange county, CA. It might take some time for me to be scheduled.. As what I read in here, seems like LA county and OC county take about 6 to 8 months for an interview to be scheduled. Anyways, good luck to all of us :-)

Hmmm....would lilke to know how long it takes out here in NJ, the office I'd most likely be interviewed at would be Mount Laurel, NJ...If anyone has info on this plz let me know...thx

Thanks Melusine...I think Cherry hill & Mount Laurel is the same office (not sure why they call it either one....they need to stick to one name LOL) they're both the same place...from the timeline it looks like about 3-3.5 month wait to get interviewed so I should be coming up at or around november (december latest) if i'm guessing correctly (hope i am :whistle:

Usually from what I saw from the offices here in NJ: The interview letter comes around a month and a half after your EAD was sent to you and the interview is a month after from the date of arrival. I think my interview letter should arrive next month and I should get my interview in Dec.

Don't let the choices chose you, chose the choices that you want.
