AOS filers - July 2008

Never thought I'd be happy to hold something as simple as a card in my hand but whooooooooohoooooooooooo....EAD came in the mail today....1 little thing though, on the card it has my country of birth as "unknown" why is that? I'm originally from St. Martin (caribbean) all of my birth info they have so why the "unknown"?...Not a big issue to me but would this cause any problem (getting ssn, driver's license etc.)

The letter is dated 10/14/08 but the card is valid from 10/08/08 - 10/07/09 (original approval date) and was mailed out (postmarked 10/15/08)...Just thought I'd list that for anyone that was interested...

Finally we have some good news.I-485 transfered to California Serv.Centr. 10/17/2008,but nothing yet about A.P and E.A.D.Good luck everybody!

Yes it has my birthdate and country of birth It might not be a problem..why don't you try going to SSN and they will tell you if its accepted or not..Im sure it will be fine

Hi jackie I just received my work permit this week too. Your earlier to me by 1 week, i read some cases in here were transferred even pass 100 days from NOA1. Well, all we can do is to wait and see if they will transfer us to CSC (to not have an interview) or transfer to our local office (to be interviewed). Either way, I like anything that would mean my case is progressing towards the end. GOod luck to all of us
