Just wanted to add I was offered a job yesterday. The pay isn't great (between his income as a grad student and mine, we'll have about $500 a month in play money once all bills and living expenses are taken care of) but it's a job, and it's a 3 minute walk from my house.

Yay for EAD! I'm happy to have gotten so much done since getting my card. My AP came a few days after my EAD. Now if they would just get a-touchin' on my AOS ... :P

i have a good day today. i got a call from a hotel, informing me that they consider me for the job. finally i will start my job really soon. i will go to the hotel tomorrow for papers to sign.... i'm so happy. Good luck to all of you guyz. Don't loose hope. God will help us. I still did not receive any information regarding my AOS... hopefully soon.

Congrats Jackielibera! It is my first day at work tomorrow, I had my first job interview 2 days ago, got a call today and already I am about to start :dance: . It is sales, but great for start, and also just across the street from where I live. I was so lucky they needed someone urgently. Couldn't be happier for now

lol ok thank you :P I feel better I was worried because when my AOS wasn't online those first two months, I got sent an RFE then AFTER i sent it back it was online, so thought there would be a prob with EAD and stuff as well :o

Head up! It happened tome too. Just like you described! Honestly I don`t mind not being able to see my online status as long as I can receive my EAD... hope soon! :clock:

Does anybody know what does it mean that they changed the date of the card production? Before it was "On October 7, 2008......" and now it's October 10. :unsure:

OOOPs...

Was just looking at the forms I sent in (didn't make copies of the completed package that i mailed) so the form I have doesn't have the signature or date on it...anyhow, was looking at the G325a for me and noticed a tiny boo-boo on my part...My father's birthday (the year ) is wrong...(typo on my part)...will that be a problem? If/when interviewed can i mention it to them?

Also do i NEED to take a copy of everything I sent in (ie, completed forms etc, ) or just the supporting docs?( again i didn't make copy of completed package b4 sending them in)

No, only mention it when you get an RFE or if you're explicitely asked about it during interview. They might skip checking that part of information. It would have been different if it would have been vital information about you or your spouse. Changing this little thing will give you a lot of extra work for a thing they might not even check.

Ok thanks, after all this waiting and work I could've kicked myself today when i was looking at them (preparing in case of an interview)..I guess ur right, nothing to worry about...(i did receive an RFE in august but only now picked up on this, or I would've fixed it then) oh well...will just tell them it was a typo (they have proof of his actual year of birth on my BC)

ya, don't even mention it.

When I applied for K1, I put a wrong social security number by my mistake.

But, I was told not to say anything. So I did not. I did not get any RFE and everything went fine.

Don't worry.

06/19/2008 POE at LAX with K1 visa

06/28/2008 Married my husband

07/03/2008 Update my social security card

07/19/2008 AOS, EAD, AP mailed to Chicago lock box

07/21/2008 AOS, EAD, AP were received

07/28/2008 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP

08/04/2008 Biometric appointment letter arrived

08/15/2008 Biometric at Santa Ana office

10/21/2008 No update since biometric- contacted a local congressman, the ombudsman

10/22/2008 Was able to do service request

10/23/2008 EAD was approved

10/24/2008 AOS interview letter arrived

11/26/2008 Renew my State ID
