My husband received his EAD and AP in the mail today as well. WOOHOO!!! :dance:

Congrats...now if they can only remember mine that's been tossed to the bottom of the pile :crying:

yeah me too...LOL...i think i'm becoming a compulsive case status checker on USCIS...i can't even count how many times i check that thing in a day...I might need therapy once this is all over :blink::wacko:

Kind of a general question, but what do touches look like online?

When I check my AOS status, it just says that it's 'pending at the office it was transferred to'. What does that mean, that CSC has got it but hasn't opened it yet?

31/12/2006: 1 year anniversary

22/12/2006: Package received from Montreal

18/01/2007: Packet 3 delivered to Montreal Consulate

02/02/2007: Medical Exam in London, ON- Wonderful Doctor/Office

30/05/2007: Package 4 received from Montreal

05/07/2007: Interview date - Canceled by request, [promised a Dec date b/c was 6+mo in advance, note on file

Screwed up my interview date, given NOVEMBER, fixed, promised Dec or Jan

06/02/2008: Interview date, medical now expired! APPROVED!

23/01/2008: New Medical done, WHERE THE @#$%! IS IT, DID THE MAILMAN LOSE IT?! (It arrived 30 min after I left for MTL, 1 week overdue. KISS MY LEFT FOOT, AFTER IT'S BEEN WEDGED UP YOUR HINEY AND LOST IT'S STILETTO, CANADA POST!)

14/02/2008: VISA IN HAND!!

18/05/2008: POE - Harassed by ignorant and incompetent Customs Official who grilled me until I answered that the reason why I broke up w/ my Ex was not to date my USC but b/c he was "impotent from a porn addiction". He also insulted my husband's motives for talking to me, dismissed our 2 years together as "not enough to get married", and otherwise trotted out the Spanish Inquisition.

22/05/2008: Ceremony of cohabitation (Legally allowed to get bizz-ay!)

AOS/AP/EAD

02/07/2008: Filed for AOS/AP/EAD

14/07/2008: Received NOA1

09/09/2008: Transferred to CSC

29/09/2008: EAD arrives in mail w/out notice, AP following week

18/11/2008: Email notice letter has gone out, card ETA: 60 days

25/11/2008: GC arrives in mail! TWO YEARS OF RED-TAPE FREEDOM! WOOT!

If the date changes on the opening screen (where it lists the file), you have been "touched"...that may mean many different things...

08/04/2008 Biometric appointment letter arrived

08/15/2008 Biometric at Santa Ana office

10/21/2008 No update since biometric- contacted a local congressman, the ombudsman

10/22/2008 Was able to do service request

10/23/2008 EAD was approved

10/24/2008 AOS interview letter arrived

11/26/2008 Renew my State ID

12/10/2008 AOS interview approved right away

don't worry guys, you'll get the approval soon.

i've yet to receive the physical ead card, but i'm still ecstatic that it has been approved.

soon, we'll all get our papers (cards) so we can get on with our lives. :)

I hope they start working on it soon.

Sigh - RFE was received in late July and I STILL don't have the paperwork I need (Tax return) b/c the CPA and his mom are doing gosh knows what. I have literally - less than 20 days until the application is expired or thrown away. I tried calling the 1-800 number on the RFE, but it keeps on giving me the stupid automated system. I can't seem to talk to anyone on the phone to request for them to extend the due date. If anyone can help me with this, I would really appreciate it. I'm freaking out here.

Go find another accountant. There's a H&R Block in every city. It takes 20-60 minutes to do a return, I do 20 a year, so why are they dragging their feet? :blink::wacko:
