I received my EAD card in the mail today.

I can at least see my case online now, after trying to see it since i sent it out mid July. I sent back the RFE about a week ago and now it is saying this

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On October 2, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I hope I will know before 60 dayssssssss Does it usually take about that or a lot less when dealing with AOS and EAD's?

Hi susie its a good thing your case had resumed already. That's just typical standard timeframe but let's hope it wont be that long. Ive read around in here after a week or two of case resumed they already have their ead. We all know its case to case basis and depends on who's holding your case. Good luck

yay if case has resumed does that mean they accepted my pay stubs showing i do make enough and will surely get ead or just means they received it but not sat down to look and see the new evidence? just wondering!!

Checked status online and FINALLY on October 1, 2008, EAD card production ordered and AP approval notice sent. Still no emails from CRIS though.

Congratulations! We didn't get an email from CRIS either, even though we signed up for email updates.

ME FOUR! I was surprised last night because I'm always looking at my email and then last night I saw at USCIS online status that it was updated and approved NOw just wait it in person. I hope they will not forget my AOS though. Good luck to us

The person I talked to said that she could put in a service request if it had been 60 days since I'd heard anything. She also said that the system may or may not accept a service request, but it did for me, perhaps because it had been over 60 days since the last action on my files.

I got a letter from USCIS today, and it wasn't what I was hoping for:

Our review indicates that this case is actually within our current processing time. We regret any misunderstanding. If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, check our website for an update or call customer service at the number provided below.

The letter doesn't say what "our current processing time" is, but apparently it's OK to be waiting for almost 90 days while numerous people who filed up to 3 weeks after you have received their EAD and AP. And calling them doesn't accomplish anything.

Oh well. I've done what I can, and I'm happy for all of you who have been approved.

I think you should schedule infopass, it has been 90 days from monday is what I would say. They might give you the stamp right there. Hope you don't live too far from their office though.

Is this a standard response or does it depend on your case? And if any of you fellow vj'ers out there received a letter like this did you receive a response in the 60 days stated?

Hi!

I got the same letter. You can look up my timeline to see how my AOS is going (well, as for now it doesn`t look like it`s is going anywhere ... but I`m patient ). I haven`t heard from then since then. If I won`t receive a response by October 15, I`ll call them again. Hopefully I will get my EAD soon-and all the others who are waiting for it to come!

When you called about your EAD what did they say?...Hopefully we'll both receive good news this month

I was told that I have to wait ... till Oct 12 and then call again and put a service request on my EAD-I guess just like in other ppl case. I`m going to do so.
