NO ! DONT MOVE !!!!!!!!!!!

If you leave the US there will be no way for you to go back except filing for a K3 and starting all over again (the case already happened in thoses forums)

I don't know the fees of the AP if filed alone neither delay. (When it's file all together the price is nothing more and it's about 60 days to get). I guess your best bet would be to get an infopass appointment... i wonder if they might need a paper from the doctor explaining your dad condition as well.

or... you just wait for your green card.

My husband is getting very antsy about his EAD (he already has a temporary one, but it expires October 5th). Our K-1 went through so quickly; I think he believed that it would always be that fast...

But I haven't given up hope that we will have it before the deadline!

I totally understand your frustration! My ID is already expired and I cannot even buy a wine :wacko:

and no matter where I go, now I have carry my passport. It is crazy.

We filed at the same time, so we should get approved soon. Oh my K1 took so long. It took over 7 months to get noa2. It was out of processing time. That's why I was hoping that this time I should get approved soon.

7/19 AOS package has been mailed

7/21 AOS package was arrived in Chicogo.

7/28 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP

8/15 Biometric done

Thank you Richo and Melusine,

My husband called the USCIS and they said we can only file for AP and no charge or fee. They also said as soon as we get the notice of acceptance we can call and ask if can do it a little faster and tell them the situation....

If you guyz, have other suggestion i will appreciated it... Thanks ...

I hope my father will be ok soon and nothing worse will happen to him. And i hope my i will received my green card really soon...

I have no touch since July 15... i don't even know if they already transfer it to CSC.... we also ask about my status and they said they only processing the month of January. i don't know if its true because only they said March, and as i read here in VJ the june filer get the GC already. so i still don't know which is true....

I cannot even get a State ID. Mine is already expired. DMV said I have to get EAD, so they can renew my ID. I cannot even get a driver license. I feel that those officers are totally ignoring my file!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How come they cannot process cases based on the received dates?

I had same situation as you do. Ans its true that you need EAD to pursue the processing of your STATE ID.... all you can do is wait for your EAD... and once you get your EAD you have to go to SSN again to change your name to your married name and it process 24 hrs so you can go to DMV the next day to change the name again so you can get the STATE ID.

They will get your SSN and they will send you a new SSN with your married name... When you get you Green Card you will be needing to go back to SSN and update it....

I hope i help you with this. Don't get so frustrated, this people are doing their job and they are following rules.... GOODLUCK to you....

Read this thread its about getting an emergency AP with infopass. Never tried it myself mind! Got my AP approved this weekend. Whilst I don't have any intention of using it, I got it for an emergancy, it was also free to apply with AOS.

Good day all,

So my case status online was updated today stating that EAD card production was ordered on 9/19/08. My question is, How long it will take for the card to arrive? I understand they are saying it will take 30 days, but that is a standard blah blah blah....

Anyone go the card before 30 days from the ordering of the card production?

Hello there !

After a long period with 0 touches (the last and first one was the 1st of august when i registered online)

i just got the 2 CRIS email for AP (approval notice sent) and EAD (card production ordered).

Can't wait to see it in real !

Oh! and i want to add.... if the folks at uscis feel like transferring my file to csc ... please feel free since you are in the file ! :rolleyes::P

HUGE congrats dear mel!! That is awesome! Feels great, doesn't it?! I just got my EAD in the mail today (and off to get my SSN as soon as I opened it!)...very quick! Good luck in the job hunting department!!

Congrats to everyone else out there, they're really flowing in now! wooohooo!

Any updates? It seems that not many EAD cases are not approved this week. What's going on?

Finally I am able to see my I-485 status online after checking my status every five mins for the past month :whistle: . Funny thing is I just before i tried this evening I said to myself " THAT IS IT, IF YOU ARE NOT THERE THIS TIME I AM NOT GOING TO TRY AGAIN'' Funny thing is I don't know whether I really meant that. Now thats the good part. Bad part is a RFE letter was sent mailed out to me today :angry: . Just what I needed. Did any of you get a RFE for I-485 and what was it for? :unsure:

got the RFFE letter in the mail today. My husband needs to submit 6 months pay stubs, a letter of employment containing wages and salary earned, no. of hours of work etc.
