which form did you use for EAD?

It is strange because they asked you biometric and after that rejected form?

Well, I used to one which will expire on the 31st of August, too. But, on the bottom of the right side, it said FormI-765 (Rev. 05/27/08) I downloaded the form from USCIS website.

I wonder what it went wrong.

The letter is just the standard "You used an outdated form" bla bla bullcrap..

I used the 5/27/2008 form but my printer cut that part of which makes me think that they thought it was on old one and rather than pending 5 minutes to compare it to the one they accept they just sent it back.

Atleast this time they returned my copies and photos...

I have tried calling them but getting a live person on the hotline is about as easy as finding an honest politician...

If it had been me, I'd make sure that the revision date of 5/27 was clearly visible since I'm replying to an RFE for wrong version.

Reprint, or get a better printer.

You can send in the one exp 8/31/08 again, just make sure the revision date isn't cut off. They will accept it since a a later version doesn't exist.

I have a log in with USCIS and am checking it everyday... the last date it shows anything done was 8/5... Does that mean the last time they "touched" our case was on 8/5 or is there another way to check?

Nope, that's it...the "Last updated" date that is shown was the last time anything was done on the case...

Wow, thats nice, Mine the last time they update and touched was July 15, and i had my biometrics last Aug.6, until now never heard from them, never update ....

I had my Biometrics done yesterday which went smoothly and when I got home I had another dreadful big envelope from USCIS.

With little surprise I opened it and found another rejection letter for my EAD!!!

I sent the form downloaded from the USCIS website the second time around and still got rejected.

Now, when I send it in the third time it's going to come back because it expires 08/31/08...

The same thing happened to me a while ago,we also download the EAD form the USCIS website,but later on they sent me a rejected letter saying the version of the form i used is no longer accepted.Well there 's nothing you can do but send the new form they give you . BTW,i just got a Boimeterice letter for the EAD .Good luck with you ~
