Hubby received EAD in the mail last week. Online case status still says "On July 25, 2008 we received your application..." for EAD, AP and AOS.

We went to the SSA to get a SSN for the EAD and was informed by the SSA employee that the EAD is no longer valid as the AOS has been approved. We convinced him to still request a SSN based on EAD since I don't believe anything unless it is in writing. If it is true, very cool, no interview required.

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

i received letter that i will have my interview on March 9, 2009...

The problem is, we don't have joint account, no credit card joint, no letters or bills that is in both our name.... all the bills is on his name....

My husband want me to be independent that's why he's not putting me on this things...

Is this gonna be a problem for us????

Gosh i don't know what will gonna happen to my case... i leave it all to GOD....

hello jackie. i hope somebody has given you advice already. if not, then here is mine. i've been reading other people's AOS interviews and you may have been too...those things you mentioned are basic documents that will be asked...some people have a very organized application that they are not asked about accounts or letters, but most of the people are...your husband must have a valid answer as to why he is not putting you on any of his accounts...or if he says he wants you to be independent you should have your own accounts...but he will still be asked...why not together since you are husband and wife? does he not trust you? also when you got married maybe your friends sent you greeting cards...also for the past christmas and so on...and pictures when you had your civil wedding? you should have as many proofs as you can bring to the interview...otherwise it's like you're going to war without any weapons and you will definitely be denied or will be asked for those proofs.

tell your husband so he knows and can decide what to do...good luck and god bless!

Hi, Like you my wife's fingerprints were Aug 21 and we also received the letter for her interview yesterday (Monday the 23 of Feb).. Nice to finally hear after all this time isn't it? Now just a little more waiting.

We never updated in this thread, but they made us do the Medical again...

They updated our case on the 20th saying they got our info.

Nothing new as of this writing, hoping the next update is a damn approval.

Anyone been approved lately? Should we feel hopeful, or irritated?

we have to do the medical again as well :/ He has it today and hopefully no more RFe#s just an approval notice!!! You have a right to be irritated with the incompetence of the USCIS I know i was when I received this RFE but now that your RFE was sent back feel very hopeful I read that some people got aproved only a few weeks after sending in the new medical, good luck :)

Fantastic news; WE ARE APRROVED!!!!

Our notice was mailed today welcoming me (wife posting here) as a new permanent resident. YIPPEEEE!! No more USCIS for 2 years!!!!

They received our information on 20th, as we said above, and it took them only 7 days more to actually approve. Anyone waiting on a medical RFE, take heart, therefore - after that was done and sent in, it was a very quick turnaround! As irritated as we were at having to have the whole medical done again, at least we didn't have to wait months after that for any news. And this RFE didn't mean that they ended up scheduling an interview for us after all - we had been transferred to California and were told, as I know some of you here were, that usually, that means they forgo the interview and just issue you the card directly. I had been worried that this RFE would somehow mean that they would change their minds and require an interview of us (no evidence to support that, just my general worrying) which, whilst not a problem, would have meant more time before issuing. But no! Here it is!

I'm rambling now because I'm excited. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
