Yeah I agree with what you said, and my wife and I are in such limbo its crazy to be in so much suspense from USCIS and not knowing the results. I would be fine if we knew our fate that day but the prolonging of it makes it worse. At least you know you were definately getting your green card as you both had to sign a piece of paper, my wife and I didnt sign any type of paper at all. I am glad you got to go visit Canada and I am hoping I get my green card by the end of this month so my wife and I have plans to visit Canada. I hope it all works out in the end and I am just nervous because I was presented with anything to sign. All we were told if we need anything we will notify you by mail and knowing USCIS you never know how long you have to wait.

Well - at least they said that they will notify you in the mail, but agreed - you never know when that will be!

I'm sure things will be fine.

Did you apply for Advance Parole? That's what I used to cross the border. And on my visit back home (U.S.) - I didn't even get pulled over! It was a great feeling being able to cross the border with ease (I was refused once, which is how I found out about the K-1 Visa).

Keep your heads up though! It will all be over soon. :star:

Hello, My wife´s biometrics were august 21, no rfe´s and we´re still waiting.... I can´t even see the status online.... It doesn´t recognize the receipt number which still begins with MSC for missouri service center.... We´ve made two infopasses and they said everything appears ok and it´s just waiting to schedule interview... Yet a friend at work submited AOS request 3 weeks after and had the interview two weeks ago..... It´s now been 6 1/2 months... I wonder if I can do a service request after 6 1/2 months... ????? It's frustrating.....

Well in some aspects it is good, but you just dont know what is going to be in that letter you know. It could be a 2nd interview notice, a notice about me coming to clear somethings up, or an welcome to america letter who knows, but I am really concerned that I wasnt told anything about removing conditions or given any white letter to sign.

I hope things will be fine and I dont want to sound hasty at all, but its frustrating to hear other people in this forum, who post their interview experience that they got the instant approval and had a good interview experience vs. other people who have the interview and get no signs or anything about the results of their interview, its just frustrating thats why I am venting abit.

No I didnt apply for AP. I didnt think I would need it because, I would get the green card very quickly you know. Thanks for clearing that up that you had AP papers and glad that you didnt have an problems trying to come back into the US.

I came to US on student visa in July 2006. I went to India for a short vacation in dec 2007 and there itself got married to this guy in Jan 2008. My husband was on H1B then. He had his green card filed thru company and since his priority date was not current, he filed for my green card too.

I also filed for my H1B in 1st week of april 2008 as a back-up. In july 2008, my AOS application was received by USCIS. I got my bio-metrics done in sep 2008. I got my EAD in Sep itself and my AP in october. I canceled my H1B in October because I got my EAD. After that I havent heard anything. I checked my online status, and it says pending.

Is there anyone with similar case as mine? Does anyone knows if my application stands for some quota or something like that?

Thanks to all for posting on this site. All of you are doing great job and helping many people. Keep up the good work.

2nd July 2008 - AOS application reached USCIS (Texas center)

10th Sep 2008 - Biometrics appointment

22nd Sep 2008 - EAD card received

8th Oct 2008 - AP received

Since then waiting.....no status change at all.

Hey everyone!!

Who says Friday the 13th is bad luck? We received our letter for our interview appointment that is scheduled for April 8th at 7:45 in the morning!

I just don’t understand the USCIS website. They never updated our K3 Visa info until I had received the hard copies and they seem to be doing the same with the AOS.

The last action USCIS has on our case on the website is the notice dated July 7th saying they received our packet. No notice of transfer or any touches! So for those that have the same situation, don’t give up! You could get it in the mail anytime!

June 30, 2008: Sent NOA to Chicago via Fed Ex

July 1, 2008: NOA Received in Chicago

July 7, 2008: Check cashed, Notice Date for I485 & I765

July 9, 2008: Notice Date of Biometrics

July 11, 2008: Received NOA's for I-485 & I-765 in mail

July 12, 2008: Received Biometrics Appointment for July 25th

July 25, 2008: Biometrics Appointment

Sept 3, 2008: Card Production Ordered (EAD)

Sept 8, 2008: Received EAD Card in the mail. Received CRIS email that Approval Notice for EAD sent! Go figure huh?

Sept 11, 2008: Applied for SSN

Sept 15, 2008: Received SSN in mail

Sept 18, 2008: STARTED HIS 1ST U.S. JOB!! WHOOO HOOOOO!

yet another RFE, they JUST received the one for my w2's and now are sending out another RFE. Do you think it would be because I didn't send out the original one? I copied it and then mailed it. This is getting really annoying, I obv. make enough they like to waste time I think , and lengthen out processes that should take a fraction of the time! They should just approve it already and move on to other cases..just venting..

finally we received our approval notice, no interview... almost 8 months after AOS filing! Thanks God and thanks for everyone here who've contributed to a smooth sailing process (despite the RFE's)... for those who have not heard from USCIS yet, be patient...
